I had it 3 or 4 months ago. was pretty sick for 1-2 days. biggest symptoms were a really bad cough and serious fatigue, but never go to the get tired walking up stairs point. had slight fever that spiked a little at night. definitely worse at night. tested + on a Tuesday I think and by the next Monday I was lifting light in my basement and waiting for quarantine to end so I could get back to the gym. it took about 2-3 weeks to get back to my normal gym #s from the first day back lifting at the gym. I did lose 10- 15 pounds throughout it all and I didn't have much of an appetite for the duration. never lost taste or smell, had aches 1-2 days.

felt completely back to normal probably maybe 7-8 days from first symptoms but maintained a lingering cough for quite some time.

whole fam had it. kids had zero symptoms and you wouldn't even know they had it. it was tough bc they were up our ass and didn't care that wife and I felt like ****. no, we're not taking you to target to buy more **** you don't need - we don't feel well! wife was much worse than me.

You really going to use Florida as the example? Just a few weeks ago, over 2,000 people a week were dying from COVID in Florida. During the summer they had about a quarter of all the cases and deaths in this country.

And California has a death rate of 1847 deaths per 1 million people in the state. Florida has a death rate of 2813 deaths per 1 million people in the state. There are 39.5 million people living in California. So based on these numbers, California's "draconian measures" saved about 38,000 lives rather than using Florida's "let them die" approach. And Florida has 21.5 million people. If they took the California approach, based on these numbers, 21,700 or so people who died from COVID in Florida might be alive today.

My one political post and done even though this shouldn't be political in the first place.
No it isn't. Because you will respond to this.

2,000 people a week with about 140,000 - 210,000 cases. Your math is, at best, guess work and your conclusion is tainted by confirmation bias. The confirmation bias comes through when you call Florida’s approach the “let them die” approach while hailing California’s approach. Florida took a libertarian approach while California took an authoritarian approach.

Your math is guess work because there’s no way to know how many lives were saved with California’s approach and how many excess deaths were caused with Florida’s approach. There’s also no way to know how many died of the virus now in Florida who wouldn’t have died later from it had we taken California’s approach and vice versa. The only thing you can do, in this case, is look at each state’s mortality rate.

California: 1.47%
Florida: 1.65%

So, under 2% of the population in each case yet Florida’s economy surged while California’s stumbled. Florida became one of the biggest states for inbound migration while California was one of the leading states for outbound migration. California added nearly 10,000 drug overdose deaths and suicide rates continued to surge. That’s not even to make mention of financial ruin for individuals and small business owners.

Florida was right. California was wrong. Time has proven this.

I am not going to get into this. I made one post and wanted to be done, but your numbers are not what I said. Look at the numbers. Florida only has about 12,500 fewer deaths than California (72,977 for CA and 60,418 for FL) even though they only have about half the population.

And I am not get dragged into a political discussion on a Patriots message board. I made my one post pointing out where you were wrong and I am done.

That’s cool, but your math is still sketchy and, at best, guess work. The mortality rates don’t represent a significant statistical difference and your conclusion is still tainted by confirmation bias.

But I’m not wrong. Everyone knows Florida took the right approach even if they don’t want to admit it. A libertarian approach to this was always going to be better than an authoritarian approach.

Waiting on Vitamin C capsules and a jug of OJ. I break the capsules into hot water. Wife is bringing those home. In the mean time, working on walking with this one is keeping my mind off of it…

Can she rush the quarterback?

Believe what you want. I am not getting into a political discussion.

I will say that not even close to everyone believes that Florida had the right approach. Not by a long shot. It is silly to believe otherwise. I don't think that is a political statement.

Authoritarians probably say that they don’t believe a Libertarian approach was the best one but, deep down, they know the Libertarian approach was the more common sense of the two. Time has proven that. But you’re adhering to confirmation bias, so you’re going to twist yourself into pretzels while I dissect your debate in order to avoid admitting as much. I’ve given you the facts. What you want to do with those facts is up to you.

The only thing I got out of this conversation is somebody here weighs 500 pounds
well not exactly...but...my lower unit IS a pretty prodigious piece of meat if I say so my dyam self (too filthy this early in the day?)

Sounds like you need to be the mainstar of slug hentai

screw Florida...I'm moving to California!......said no one ever the past twelve months...
Anyone know where Gruesome Newsom went? He decided to promote the fact that he was getting another dose (when he may not have even needed it) and disappeared like a fart in the wind.

That’s been one of my favorite parts about social media reactions to the vaccine debate. Suddenly, someone who looks like a hot air balloon and will likely die of a widow maker heart attack thinks they can tell someone else who works out 4-5 days a week, sees a doctor at least once a year, and takes vitamins daily what they should do with their health. My man, you need to eat a salad and go for a walk before you start preaching to anyone what they should be doing about their health.

Again, I am not getting into this. It isn’t the proper forum. All I did was post a couple of facts to counter your argument. I didn’t twist myself into a pretzel or adhere to confirmation bias or whatever you want accuse me of doing to discredit my facts. This is why I have desire to get dragged into a political discussion here. It is an exercise in futility.

@Kontradiction if you are going to throw florida/california comparisons to support "libertarian" and "authoritarian", then I gotta come and say "what about it?"

Worldwide, lockdown measures were overwhelmengly more succesful than lax measures.

Countries with lax measures are in deep crisis, bc of ramifications of these choises. Not even talking economically only, but politically as well.

Im not going to get into pro-mandate or not. I do not agree with your position o "being free to choose" to the covid vaccine, but Ill leave it at that
