No, he was a starter in 2015 and he was really good. I knew the “we won” rebuttal would show up. What happened in 2017? He signed a cheap 2 year deal so he certainly would’ve been useful then.

I personally would have liked to keep him as well- he was pretty good. But as it was- we weren't really lacking on DL at the time and just were not going to overpay for someone who was part of a rotation.

Dual threat is such horseshit. I actually think that being a "dual-threat" works against you most of the time, than not. Instead of forcing yourself to stand tall and read, you're just taking off and improvising.

Bill goofed and I believe he played games because they had just drafted Malcolm Brown and had Alan Branch. Hicks was really good in 2015 helping the front 7 be 2nd in the league in sacks. With that being said, 2 years for $12M was peanuts.
