Official Pregame Thread: Pats @ Panthers

The nice thing about Beckham being released is that, as a vested Veteran, Cleveland is on the hook for his contract if he clear's waivers. So he won't need much of a contract. Which is a good thing if the Patriots want to sign him since they have less than 3M in cap space right now..

Trying to think what team would jump in before we get a chance...Indy?

Getting everyone ready for Saturday:

Anyone have a map of tomorrow’s game

It's almost unanimous out there from the predictions I've seen that the Pats are going to win tomorrow. I hope the team isn't that overconfident.
Back to back road games especially one coming back from the west coast are really tough. CMC is playing too. The Panthers defense is a good one.

I think it's going to be really close and one play makes the difference either way.

We won the SB with 3 (white) #2's - Edelman, Hogan, Amendola
Only issue is - these guys haven't fully mastered the craft or this system yet, like those 3 did.
And with Brady's mastery, they worked.
You don't need a OBJ to be "#1", if you have 3 very dedicated, smart, quick, clutch WR's. Not saying all these guys are that yet, but you can win with this model. (although I still think we need an Edelman-type, the safety blanket on 3rd down).
It took Edelman, what 5 or 6 years to be Edelman? Meyers is in his 3rd year, he's putting up close to Edelman numbers. The other guys are 8 games into the season. Give them through the end of the year, if they make the playoffs this will be a dangerous team.

Definitely hurts if CMC is back in. I'm sure there were other contributing factors, but the Panthers ARE 3-0 with him, 1-4 without him . Thankfully if active hes supposedly going to play a limited role from what I'm seeing, but I'm with you in being a little nervous for this one. A loss here essentially kills all the momentum we have built over the last couple weeks and the outlook is no longer leaning hopeful.

Fox probably fought to keep the Packers at KC from going to NBC for the Sunday night game. But now that it is Jordan Love against a average KC team, they are probably regretting it.

Hell, even their other game may suck since Murray and Hopkins may both be out for the Cards.

For the most part, there isn't one game that looks worth watching if you are not a fan of one of the team playing. Three weeks ago Cleveland vs. Cincy would have been the game to watch. Not anymore. I guess if Murray plays, the AZ/49ers game is the best bet of these games.

Even tonight's game (Titans vs. Rams) would have been the game to watch one week ago, but now with Henry out for the season, this should be an arse whipping.

It'll be interesting to hear which side Al and Chris take on AR- if any.

If Harry can't even stay healthy why does he think he can stay in the league?
Just went he started to show he could contribute as a WR4 he gets hurt.

It's just not happening here for him.

but the Panthers ARE 3-0 with him

to be fair those games were

jest
Saints who had like 10-12 coaches out (also were without Lattimore)
Texans

Saints win i'll give them credit for but jest and Texans, I don't see anyone acting like Pats being 3-0 vs the jest and Texans is a notable accomplishment

I can see CMC making a play here and there but if he plays more than 20 snaps I'd be surprised
