Pitching depth for sure. Wonder if they’ll re-sign E-Rod.

JD opting out would hurt.

What's going to happen with schwarber? There are lots of questions. Xander b can opt out after next year. They need to figure that one out. They can't afford to let him walk without a significant return.

Forgot Robbie Ray is a FA. That would be a nice way to upgrade the rotation. They have $ to spend…

I hated the Benintendi trade. You need to get more than franchy who is a bust.
i didn't say he was perfect. Benintendi was trending down but i agree we should have gotten a little more

In addition to Cordero the Sox received 4 prospects. Josh Winckowski is currently pitching well in the AFL and is rated #14 at Sox Prospects. Pitcher Grant Gambrel a 3rd round pick out of Oregon State and is slated for Portland in 2022. Plus 2 19 year old kids, Freddy Valdez RF and Luis De La Rosa P. So it could be several years before we can fairly grade the trade.

This doesn't change the fact that the main piece they got back was a complete bust.

Your assuming Cordero was the main piece of the trade, I would argue that Winckowski is.

The prospects you mentioned were throw ins. If they were highly thought of prospects, they would not have been dealt for beni. Cordero was the player on the major league roster. I assume correctly.

Agree to disagree.

So long Kyle, it was nice having you on the Sox for awhile.
