Sad to see BB's legacy ripped apart like this

I'm following the record when Bill's contract is expiring (which nobody knows) as to when his time runs out.

I truly believe this year or next is it for Bill. The tea leaves have been there for some time now.
Would not be at all surprised to learn that part of his meeting with Brady after the Bucs game was to tell him he was leaving soon.

I'm not sure about that. I think if Mac grows and they're competitive, he's in this for at least 2-3 seasons. I think 75 is probably his goal. I'm obviously just speculating, but I think he'll go at least beyond next season. If I were him, I'd be excited. He hit the lottery again

"Tom this might be my last rodeo...." lol

I can't remember if Fivehead told Bill it WAS his last rodeo or it "might be"...

Watching him on the sidelines, he looks checked out to me. The only game he had any fire was Tampa. He has yet to challenge a play this season which is just strange in and of itself. I think he has been delegating since the off-season when Kraft brought in the personnel guys and Patricia. I do think he is happy about Mac but also realizes his time is done here very soon.

Don't forget, no Ernie upstairs in his year to tell him to challenge...although, I don't know how they're dealing with that now.

I heard it was Patricia now which would explain a lot. LOL
In fairness, CBS has been bad at timely replays quite a bit this season (NBC as well for that matter). Or maybe I'm alone in that assessment

Yeah that doesn’t matter to me. Doing what’s best for the success of the franchise shouldn’t be overridden by emotional feelings.
Tell that to Bill then.

If, knowing Brady would be done before a reasonable rebuild could happen belichick kept Brady just so we would have warm feelings that he didn’t play for another team, he would be negligent in his job.
Bill has indeed been negligent in his job.

Who opens a thread the morning after a 54-13 win against the Jets with manufactured, bullsh*t gripes about Belichick holding grudges and dumping Brady?

Doesn't mean he's not wrong.

So after a 2 decade run including 16 division titles, 13 conference championships, 9SB berths, and 6 SB wins, he only has 2 more seasons to prove himself again?
Damn right... He has until the end of 2022 to show that he's fixed all of the ****ups that he himself created.

It's the anti Belichick crowd who must have felt like yesterday's game equated to having a root canal
It was the ****ing Jete.

So all those years with Brady, he gets no credit and all the credit goes to Brady?
Not all of the credit to Brady... Just the clear majority of it.

No one coaching any franchise ever has done better.
It’s ridiculous for you to say belichick has been negligent. I mean I know that’s your thing, everyone in the world sucks and you know better than them but come on man.

You're not alone... CBS absolutely ****ing sucks showing replays... There were a couple of plays in particular that I wanted to see again but CBS was content to merely show close-ups of people...

I thought I was reading sarcastic posts but I guess not.

At least BB's legacy of kicking da Jete's butt is not being ripped apart...

This is the hill some are choosing to die on, forever contemplating their naval with their clock frozen at 2019, rather than seeing what the Mac Jones era is all about. They could even just move on and enjoy Tom's games in Tampa, but nope, they'd rather relive 2019 every chance they get.

I remember when Ray Bourque left the Bs (after a 20 year HOF career in Boston) and went to the avs so he would have a chance for a cup. As much as I love Brady I idolized Ray as I grew up playing hockey. I was extremely happy for him and was still a huge fan of the Bruins after that because back then the game was still gritty and worth watching

Yep. I felt the same exact way.

Ray getting traded was a hard pill to swallow but I understood it and supported it.

He actually used a lot of seasons in the story, not just a season and a half.
With all the thrashing of Bill Belichick, at times, makes me feel Bill if he could just get up and walk away from this team. Teams would be scrambling to hire him. He probably would be out of a job for like 10 minutes. For those so anxious to replace him, curious as to who you would prefer to see (available or not) coach this team
