2021 NFL Free Agency/Trade News & Discussion: April Edition

It's going to be shocking when the Texans win a game this year.
They will, as they have 17 chances, but YES... it will be shocking when it happens. Horrendous team with a horrendous chaplain.

The only reason the Texans should sign is the possibility of trading him for more draft capital at the deadline, if he plays well. They are dead in the water this year, with or without him.

My bet is that he goes to Baltimore..

Baltimore would make sense, but Dre has been clear that he wants to get paid after not getting paid at AZ last year. I think that means Houston, but could be wrong. Ravens have $3.5M in cap space, and Houston has $10.5M in cap space.

Yeah.. But Dre' also wants to win.. He's not gonna do that in Houston.

You are right about Baltimore. Looking at them, they don't have many contracts they could alter. And Baltimore isn't likely to offer more than a 1 year deal.

Going back and looking at things, He'd be better off going to the Browns or Seahawks. Or even the Titans..

They don’t even have that much cap spce. OTC has them at 3.8m but that number doesn’t reflect Murray’s contract or the fact that Bateman’s cap number (2.2m) will be subtracted from that total once he is activated from IR, likely before week 4.

I saw on the post-game show (Bay Area) the 49ers were thinking about signing Sherman. One of the hosts, I think it was Donte Whitner said Sherman is still a top 10 CB

We should certainly laugh at SF when consider hiring Sherman and/or Kirkpatrick. After all, we are just fine with Williams and Wade getting significant reps.

Don't forget Jalen Mills too! Who needs Dre Kirkpatrick amirite?

Numbers-wise...it wasnt a bad game. He gave up a total of 13 yards with a QB rating of just 47.9 with one PBU. I'd say that was good for his 1st game with the Pats. I havent watched the replays but maybe he was covering well...which was the reason for only 3 passes going his way.

I'd give Jackson a hard time, but we already knew 2 things:
  • Jackson got picked on a lot when Gilmore was out
  • Gilmore has a lot of trouble covering Parker anyway

Jackson still being young one would like to see him take that next leap in his game. Especially given his and Gilly's contract situations.

One guy i'm wondering who could be on the trade block is Clelin Ferell, hasn't lived up to his expectations so far in the league. As well as being a healthy scratch last night, could he be on the block?

Wade was inactive and Williams played 13 snaps.

Parker had one good game against Gilmore. Shot down many times.

Alex Leatherwood looks like Yet Another Chucky/Mayock 1st-round Bust... He was one of the main reasons - if not the main reason - why the Faiders ALMOST lost last night.

Edited for accuracy.
