New thread for news starting in April.

Post news regarding Free Agency for the 2021 Free Agency period here. Can be league-wide news and/or Patriots-related news. Rumors are fine as long as it's not from some guy like "Spike King" or whatever the hell. Consider the source.

**If you get into petty arguments/fights/personal attacks here, you WILL be removed from the thread. Don’t care who “started” it, don’t engage. If you feel someone is harassing you specifically, report it, or contact a mod or Ian directly. Not gonna give warnings at this point.**

I'm not sure if it was noted in another thread but Kyle Love has retired (not an April Fool).

He came into the league as an UDFA with Patriots in 2010. I remember having him as a binky after seeing him playing in pre-season. He was also someone who had a strong sense of values (grew up as a military kid). He was cut three years later to his great pain but went on to have a career with the Panthers. I wish he would have stayed.

Congratulations on your career, Mr Love, and good luck with whatever comes next.

With 2010 being the first year I followed the team closely while posting here, Love was one of the first (if not the first) UDFA gems I ever saw us discover.

I think there was some health thing going on behind the scenes, because I remember he was playing at a pretty solid level even by the time we cut him. For a while, he was good enough that we moved Wilfork to DE so Love could start at NT.

Very nice career, I think if we had stuck it out with him we wouldn't have needed that rotating cast of Shelton-like rentals and he would have a few rings.

Feel free to move this content but with the draft approaching I think draft rumors are relevant.

All good. I like both of those guys. Mills has potential but Mond can probably be pro-ready after a year on the bench. Just needs cleaning up and good coaching. I think McDaniels would like a guy like him.
