Good get..

The guy who bullied Harry in 2019. A little curl route Harry tried to run and Roby tugged him at the top of it and Harry pretty much just gave up and Brady got picked. Brady was livid afterwards.

It's going to be shocking when the Texans win a game this year.

If you're in a survivor pool, you can probably win it by just picking whoever is playing the Texans each week.

Yep, that's when Brady - and the rest of us who were paying attention - realized that Bill just drafted a 6'3 220-lb Puzzy.

Depending on the cost, we could've used him here too.

Once again, you remind us how fortunate we are that you are not running the patriots player personnel department.

Roby’s cap hit is 9.2m this year. The Pats have about 5m in cap space, which they will need for end of year performance bonuses and maybe a trade deadline pickup. Roby isn’t worthy of an extension or restructure that would reduce the cap in future years. When Gilmore returns, he would be CB3, not to mention the fact that they wouldn’t have him available for week 1.

Tell us more about why they should have targeted him in a trade, genius.

Pats only have about 3M in cap space currently. I don't believe they can modify any of the contracts they just signed. McCourty and Hightower are on one year deals.

Really only have Shaq Mason and Jonathan Jones who's contracts can be modified easily. And, of course, a Gilmore extension...

Overthecap has the Pats $5 million under the cap. McCourty’s contract has 3 voidable years after the 2021 season. His salary could be guaranteed pushing cap into those 3 years creating roughly $6 million of cap space.

Voidable years could be added to Hightower’s deal to create space. Simple restructures of Jones and Mason’s contracts could create roughly $3 million of space.

Doubt the Pats do any of these things. The 2022 cap is pretty tight especially if the Patriots intend to retain McCourty, Hightower and Trent Brown.

The Pats will also likely pick up some additional cap space as Harry comes off IR and when other players are activated off the PUP/NFI lists.

Thanks. I was going by overthecap.com but that may not be updated.

Overthecap iand Miguel are actually fairly close when you consider that Miguel switched from top 51 to 53 early (roughly a 1.3M hit) and Overthecap is waiting for the official start of the season to switch...so they should be close to matching shortly (3.7M).

It’s not $5 million of real money, because, as you well know, they have to save some for after-the-season performance bonuses. That also still doesn’t explain why they would want trade draft capital for a $9 million CB3 (on this Pats team as of week 6, when Gilmore returns) who is going to miss week 1. If you are going to open up more cap scape with restructures and voidable years, you do that at the trading deadline for a true impact player, if you are in the thick of things at that point.

Tyler Lockett says hello. This happens to a lot of rookie receivers. The problem is Harry didn’t learn from it and he’s always hurt.

He was good in 2019. Tore his achilles in training camp last year. Good size and athleticism for a LB.

Definitely does happen to a lot of young guys going against aggressive man corners. Some learn and some don't and my problem with Harry is that he doesn't seem to really own or learn from his mistakes.

The only reason the Texans should sign is the possibility of trading him for more draft capital at the deadline, if he plays well. They are dead in the water this year, with or without him.
