So the Bucs won on a missed offensive pass interference call...
Bucs won despite half a dozen missed OL holding calls and a (-)3 TO differential. They clean that up and watch out.

BTW, doofus, how about removing that criminal Goondell from your avatar. Hurts my eyes every time I see it.

He was never humble he’s a power hungry psychopath who always wants more and that’s why he’s the best to ever play. And for 20 years you loved it.

His public face WAS humble off the field, which is what I was referring to. Yes, of course, for 20 years I loved it which is why it's so easy to feel conflicted about what he's doing now, and where.

You must need therapy to be a Dallas fan. They find new and interesting ways to rip your heart out every season. 4 TOs and they still manage to lose.
My dad is a cowgirls fan. This is him during a game:

against a team that was picking 11th in last year’s draft…it was supposed to be a Bucs blowout tonight.

btw, it looks like you have a bunch of Taliban fighters in your avatar…

Hard to make definitive assumptions about either team based on the first game of the season. But I will about certain players.

1. I'd LOVE to have Vita Vaw on my team. Now THAT is the kind of run stopping pocket pushing NT, I hop Gotcheaz turns into.

2. Man what a beast Gronk is......STILL. He wrecked that game for the Cowboys. So smart, so good.

3. Micha Parsons is going to be great. I loved what I saw of him, and he's just a baby with tons of growth ahead of him. He was my first round Binky when I thought no QB's would drop to us.

4. Tom is still Tom. He can still apparently play football. I didn't see the 2 picks so I don't know what his culpability was, but I did see the 3 of the TD's and they looked good. Still has great zip on the ball. I'd give him an A-/B+ for the night. He'd probably give himself a C+

5. Dallas looked better than I expect. They won't have to face another playoff team for a while, and when they do it will likely be the sub 500 WFT. They went and played the defending champs on the road and took them to the final play of the game. That will give them something to build on,.

6. The Buc's offensive weapons are legion and they have the best triggerman in the business. They WILL be tough all season.

Ken, Brady's INT's were B.S. He looked normal, as he has the past 20+ years. He's got a gifted WR with a ten cent brain in this clown Godwin. I imagine the TB coaching staff will get on this guy's case this week

Some observations from Cowboys MB. It surprised me that more fans were blaming the kicker than the refs, Many fans were reluctant to praise Dak because he lost another close on. I read that Cowboys are 2-20 when trailing at half time and most agree their defense still sucks.

Gallup (as long as he's not hurt long term), Cooper and Lamb are a LEGIT pass catching trio. Dak looked solid. Zeke is still in the backfield, and the OL played decently.

This cowboys offense is gonna be tough all year. Could be a good dallas team.

Both these defenses blow donkey balls
The Bucs started the game without a starting DB (Whitehead). They then lost a starting CB and had another "starting" DB struggling with cramps and having to leave the game. And they had that against what is probably one of the 3-4 best WR groups in the NFL.

Whether that's a credit to the Cowboys' offense or an indictment on the Bucs' pass defense remains to be seen.
Both. Elite set of WRs (as a combination); roughly average CBs.
Was it the heat tonight that made the Bucs D look like crap? They certainly do have an impressive O lineup but they look old and slow except for their psycho linebacker in the front seven...and their secondary is soft...at least it was tonight
Their secondary was never that great, including last year. That said, they were without their SS (Whitehead) and lost their CB1 (Murphy-Bunting) to injury tonight

But they simply don’t have a top CB; they have a handful of competent, but not great ones. I’ve been trying to facilitate a deal of Gilmore for a high pick and promising young player (Edwards perhaps, as a Harmon type) since May.

For some reason, Bill isn’t returning my calls. I think he’s read my Avatar.

The Bucs tried hard to give that game away, but CeeDee Lamb and the kicker were too proud to accept charity lol.

Apparently deep throwaways are only intentional grounding if the quarterback is wearing a Patriots' uniform. Huh.

Saw two missed penalties on that final drive. Dallas seems incapable of being consistently attentive to the details that win games. Brady is still pretty darn good and the guys around him aren't half bad either (as football players, that is).

Both teams are athletic and talented. Both were sloppy tonight.
Regardless of whether or not you have an "in the area" issue, it's not grounding if the QB isn't under pressure.

facing an imminent loss of yardage because of pressure from the defense,

Both. Elite set of WRs (as a combination); below average CBs.

Their secondary was never that great, including last year. They’re very reliant on that front 7 dominating. That said, they were without their SS (Whitehead) and lost their CB1 (Murphy-Bunting) to injury tonight
I dont think Dallas is getting enough credit: the offense is very good. Lamb, Cooper, Gallup and Zeke - playmakers, with a GOOD offensive line.

... and yes, Tampa's DBS are average.

Dallas did almost nothing against the Bucs front seven. They took advantage of having a great trio of WRs matching up against a hobbled Bucs backfield. It was a good game plan, but it's not one that's likely to be available to most teams.

The severity of the OPI can be debated but to say it's "not even close" to OPI is just a bad faith comment.
Agreed. If it wasn’t even close there wouldn’t be a discussion.

The officials missed penalties on both teams so that's entirely a wash.

Yes, had the Bucs turned the ball over fewer times, they may have won by more. Likewise, Dallas missed a relatively short FG and an extra-point; if they had executed those plays, that also changes the dynamic of the game. Cuts both ways. I think both teams looked pretty darn good but played sloppily. I was somewhat surprised at how good Dak and the Dallas offense looked.

People are pumping Dallas' tires a bit, and I get why. But what's being lost in all the "Dallas could have won if only...." is that Godwin miscues alone were 14 points off the Bucs score. So, sure, "Dallas could have won if only....", but "Dallas could have gotten the **** beat out of them if only..." applies too.
