There is no doubt about it. Ja'Marr Chase spit on Jalen Ramsey. He can deny it all he wants, but the video evidence is clear. The NFL ruled that Jalen Carter's spitting on Dak Prescott at the beginning of their game was worthy of a one game suspension. They then ruled that since it happened so early in the game, that game would serve as Jalen's suspension.

I cannot see how Ja'Marr Chase Chase plays against us and avoids a one game suspension. What a really stupid move.

NFL OFFICIAL: Who do the Bengals play next?
INTERN: The Patriots.
NFL: *pauses* Fine him a **** ton and make sure he's eligible for the game.

Nothing is for certain when it comes to the league.

I tend to doubt they will suspend Chase. They don't like to suspend star players like that. They will rationalize it some way. They will say there isn't enough evidence of him spitting (kinda right since it looks like he spit, but there is no conclusive evidence).

What @Steve102 said. You are 100% correct, but unfortunately the NFL front offices aren’t known for their consistency. There’s also the possibility that the NFL won’t be able to hear the union’s appeal prior to the Pats game, so he may wind up being suspended but not this week.

He will play. The NFL with all their #integrity needs to ride their prop bets.

I'm almost there with you. The prop bet angle was part of my take last night in the pregame thread (where this was and is also being discussed) but then there's the whole can they let a Diva WR get away with something they nailed a DT for? Bad look that and we all know for Big Shield it's not about what something is but how it looks that matters. Chase skating isn't as likely as we might think. I'm starting to come around to the idea he gets suspended but the appeal doesn't get heard until after the Pats game allowing for action on those prop bets the NFL doesn't care to have mentioned

They will look into it. Review the evidence and suspend him for the game after the Pats.

Pats are playing well enough it should not matter

*Thomas Edward Patrick Brady has entered the chat*

That was different though. Brady's rep and honor were sacrificed for the greater good of proving out that Fraudger can suspend anyone at any time for any reason, even a completely fabricated one. Had to preserve the commissioner's authority with the biggest possible example, how the hell else are you gonna keep the hired help in line?

The league hated the Brady/Belichick Patriots. That is the exception to the rule.

I agree. My point is if they decide they are suspending him, they will, regardless of star power.

Per Florio, that decision should be announced by tomorrow at the latest, likely today.

I'm guessing it's 50/50 as i'm assuming he'll appeal and that's another process.

Oh hell yeah what's different isn't the minimal relative value of one star to Big $hield but the now critical factor value of the handle on the prop$.

Prioritie$ after all

The league is never consistent with any punishment so who knows?

Con$i$tency is whatever Herr Goodell $ay$ it is but the constant through line remains the same...
