OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I called it. He didn’t wear the Pats rings. Which makes sense in respect of his teammates but it’s definitely a small shot at the Pats be honest.
It didnt matter the ones that wanted to cry about it would have either way. If he wore them, then they ***** that he shouldnt have in a bucs celebration, if he didnt, then its a shot at the pats. It does not matter what he does really, people will find a way to ***** about it.

Does anyone have a video of the celebration?

Yep a lot of delusional fans place Bill on some godly pedal stool.

They give credit to Bill for sticking with Brady over the pro bowl 100mil vet QB, instead of going wow Brady was so great he out played the 100mil pro bowl QB his second year in the league.

They give all credit to Bill and fail to see Bill greatly benefited from having the GOAT.

Belichick made an extremely ballsy decision to stick with Brady in 2001 over the $100 million dollar man that Kraft loved. And this was when Bill’s track record as a HC was nothing but a mess. If Brady fell apart in the second half of 2001 and the team finished 7-9 or whatever then he’d have been fired. I won’t take that away from him.

Didn't wear his Pats rings. He's a Buc now. Everyone will remember him as both but he's going to retire a Buc and have a relationship with that franchise over the Pats. Pretty much saying this over the last year without actually saying it. Awful...

Didn’t take it as a shot. Wearing all those rings would make it all about him and his old team. This is all about his new team.

Not after 2001. If 2002 was a disaster then maybe.

Thats ridiculous. Tom will enter the HOF as a Patriot. Belichick will be there at the ceremony. Theres no comparison between a couple years and possibly 2 SBs and 20 years, 9 SBs,6 Championships.

Come on.... No one would have begrudged him if he did it just for the one picture. This is 100% a shot at the Pats.

NFL HOF isn't like MLB.. It's why you see a lot of guys sign 1 day contracts in the NFL when they are retired as a symbol of retiring with that team and in some cases they almost immediately go into that team's next HOF class.

There isn't a chance in hell Brady is signing a 1 day contract with the Pats if Belichick is still here and I also think Brady going into the Pats HOF will be an issue as long as Belichick is here.

Thats one of the most absurd takes I've ever seen.

I mean, you’ve been wrong every step of the way about Brady in Tampa. What’s one more hideous take to toss onto the pile?

This is exactly what Peyton did and is continuing to do. So it’s not unprecedented. It’s kind of amusing that Favre considers himself a Packer still. Probably because he never won a championship elsewhere.

NFL Players don’t enter the HoF as a part of any team.

I never said Bill didn't deserve any credit, just pointing out the decision to keep Brady was because Brady was clearly outplaying Bledsoe.

Brady deserves more of the credit for that then Bill.

Bill is cemented as one of the greatest HCs of all time, but his career has flaws like any other HOF HC/GM.

How so? Why would Brady want to make a day like that all about him? That's what he would be doing if he brought his other rings. He's a Buccaneer and like his teammates they are celebrating last season.

This isn't just about the Bucs. It's about the entire NFC playoff picture:

The New Orleans Saints were banking on a bounce-back season for Michael Thomas in 2021, especially given the uncertainty at quarterback. Turns out, Thomas' ankle problems are still lingering entering the season.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Thomas underwent surgery to repair the ligaments in his ankle in June which will cause him to miss the start of the 2021 season. Thomas needs four months to recover, so he's projected to miss multiple weeks of the year...

Saints' Michael Thomas reportedly will miss start of 2021 season after undergoing ankle surgery

Both Rodgers AND Adams want out of Green Bay now lol

One of my friends is a jeweler in Tampa Bay. He told me about a week ago, Tom’s personal assistant came in with his six rings and asked if he could re-arrange the gemstones to say Tampa Bay instead. I’m sure you won’t believe the story, and I wouldn’t either. Except he‘s the most honest person I’ve ever met and showed me the security camera footage.
