Colts at Chargers - Your preference in the game of the week?

Go Colts. The Colts are worthy of a win. The Chargers think they're entitled to a win so screw 'em. That being said, I'm sure some Charger fan will tell me how wrong I am.

Please define "worthy". Don't you prove you're worthy by winning?

I feel like the Colts players respect the Pats and vice versa where as San Diego is a bunch of punks who think they are above it all, if not for Polian it would clear cut from that angle.

On the other hand I'd rather have the Colts playing in week 16 hard trying to secure the division or the two seed.

Couple of extra points on SD that have me conflicted are that I'd rather not see them lose too many games because Smith is an excellent draft evaluator, even though he can't pick a HC to save his life. On the other hand there a team I wouldn't want to see in the playoffs because they are capable of getting it together for one week.

Dream playoff scenario we get either Jacksonville of Tenn both of whom don't match up up well with us. Meanwhile in the 2 vs 3 game Indy and Pitt can kick the crap out of each other leaving the winner beaten up.

WE WANT THE CHARGERS TO WIN. DEFINITELY. Push Indy down as far as possible.

Re: Who to root for: Colts/Bolts

If you are afraid to play against a Norv turner coached team, then you truly are not a Patriots fan.
Any other rules I should know about? I want desparately to be a true Pats fan.

I want the Colts to lose. I want the Titans to take the AFCS.

Does that make me a bad fan?

Go Chambers and go Chargers!

Then again, if they lose I won't be too upset because it makes our 2nd round pick higher. Win win for me, plus I have a really annoying friend who likes the Colts and knows nothing about the NFL, it'd be nice to see the Colts lose so he will shutup.

(The reason I say likes the Colts because I don't think he deserves to be called a fan, you have to earn that right IMO.)

I hate the friggin Colts but I kinda hope they win every game for the rest of the year just so the Pats will have to keep their foot on the throttle.

That would leave just the last game in question because then it wouldn't matter.

Call me crazy but I think Cassel and the scrubs can be inspired and beat the Giants to keep the perfect season alive.

i want IND to win...

why? so that IND finishes their season off 15-1...and we therefore cant let up, in case we fall behind, and have to keep starters in, so we finish 16-0...

and with the next 3 wins make it 19-0

I knew a Chargers fan would be right along.

Exactly right. The Chargers act like they've won something but they haven't. The Colts are the defending Champions. The Chargers think they're entitled to respect when they haven't earned it and make excuses about losing. Is that clear enough or does it not register with Chargers fans?

SD with a loss puts them at best a #6 seed with 5 losses already and could potentially put them in danger of missing the playoffs if Cleveland and Tennessee continue playing well.

How do you figure that? A loss would likely put them in a 3 way tie with Denver and KC for first in the West (assuming Denver beats the LJ less Chiefs this week).

To make the playoffs as a 4 seed SD only has to get past a Denver team that lost 44-7 to Detroit last week and a KC team that is facing an extended period of time without LJ.

Of course we need to have a Charger win.
We have a 1 game lead plus tiebreaker for hfa.
If the Colts lose this one, we can go 5-2 (or worse) and still have hfa.

What excuses? I have asked this many times and nobody has answered. Name someone that made an excuse please.

A two game lead would be huge. I'll be rooting for the Bolts.

Of course no answers because it is a lie. We have been horribly inconsistent but have blamed nobody but ourselves. Please don't shoot off at the mouth if you have nothing to back it up. Thank you.

Beat me to it. A no brainer.
Let's say an injury, officiating or whatever causes the Pats to lose a game. Then if the Colts only have 1 loss, the Pats would need to win out or lose HFA to the Colts. The Chaagiz are not a threat to HFA this season although the AFC West 2007 winner could be 9-7.

Besides Polian will have a meltdown, unable to figure out what new rules to promote in '08 given 2 teams to compete with for HFA.

when the Chargers lost in week 2 to the Pats, LDT said that it was because they had fallen into the trap game formula and somehow overlooked the Pats, with the implication being that Spygate had riled the patriots up and put them on a different level. Of course, the Pats played on that level for about 8 straight weeks, so that's bull, but it also overlooks what is says about the Chargers that they could somehow overlook the Pats, the very team that most pundits were picking to win the SB, and the team that eliminated the Chargers last year.

Can you link a quote? I do not recall that one.

The Chargers are hard for me to like. The Colts are a likeable bunch.

Besides that, I'd like the Colts' to lose only two games this year, both to the Pats. Can you imagine a team going 15-1 and losing to the same team in the playoffs?

If that doesn't crawl inside their heads nothing will.
