If this rumor is true the Falcons have to be taking on some of Jones salary in a deal. I’m not sure how that would work but if the Pats give up a first they need to retain enough cap space to keep Gillmore.
Seeing Seattle rumored annoys me considering they already have Metcalf and Lockett, drafted Eskridge, and signed THREE undrafted wide receivers. That position should be the least of their concerns.Seahags should be focusing on defensive players. Their defense can’t stop a nosebleed. Secondary will be a weakness.
Even if they had someone offer their asking price Falcons would be dumb to stop trying to improve the deal before it was actually signed sealed and delivered. No reason they would announce it or stop working to better it before June 1.Falcons are frantically pumping out stories in hopes of driving Julio's price up. That's what I'd bet. Doesn't seem like there's a true market for him from the limited info we do get...or atleast a market Falcons are happy with.

Think about it..if the falcons were getting the return they wanted the trade would have been agreed verbally and Schefter/Rappaport would have broke news. They are hoping someone takes bait and just gives up the farm.
That is exactly what is going to happen. The Pats were always pretenders to get Jones.
Anyone have a rumor from a friend in the know?
By this point I do believe it would have been announced.Even if they had someone offer their asking price Falcons would be dumb to stop trying to improve the deal before it was actually signed sealed and delivered. No reason they would announce it or stop working to better it before June 1.
