I think Washington reached a little bit here for Jamin Davis. He's a freak athlete but pretty raw. He would be a great pick in the 2nd or 3rd... but I dunno about this pick TBH.

The Jets have essentially sealed this as a monumental pick for the Patriots.

I’m sure we’ll learn the Saints had a deal worked out with the Vikings and were going to pick Jones, but the Jets offered more to pointlessly get to that spot to draft a Guard. Because of this, Jones fell to the Patriots and went on to become the league’s best player, going 42-4 against the Jets in his career.

There’s no other explanation for the Jets move other than the laws of the universe forcing them to make the worst possible decision.

I’d rather keep cam than stidham

Cam is getting cut. He is atrocious. He can't throw people open, you have to be wide wide open for him to be able to throw to you. That is if he can read defenses. He never learned how to read defenses and he is just going to waste precious snaps for Jones. Stid knows his place. Cam thinks he is a lion or some **** like that.

Really happy with Jones considering the need. My preference would’ve been to trade for Jimmy G and take J. Phillips at #15, but all things considered this isn’t a bad night.

Phillips (if healthy) is going to be scary good, the Dolphins did well with that pick.

That aside, happy we have Mac.

Please release cam now. I would prefer us to start with stidham or Mac. At least there is some gain going with either. No point keeping cam as backup.

Cam finally has value. He can play until Mac is ready. Since he knows the system the coaching staff can devote more time and resources to bringing Mac up to speed.
Cams gonna suck no matter what so you don’t have to put much coaching effort into him. Jones is starting by October.

He was drafted by a team that won’t ask him to do too much before he is ready and just built a team that is complementary to that approach.
