Wow, in the few years I've been on here, I have never seen you in such disagreement with Bill before.
That’s because he’s usually right, or even if I disagree I understand the thinking.
This one just goes against everything he has ever done.

Show me one place where I ever said Brady was cooked. Not once. Not even close to that. I said Brady was still a top 5ish QB in the league, but he is no longer elite.

And nowhere did I say Cam is the man. I said at best he I am ok with him being an one year place holder if the Pats draft Trey Lance or Mac Jones. I said I don't even know if he is going to start,

I know your panties are in a wad that I called you out as a Patriot hater, but please don't attribute ridiculous comments to me that I clearly didn't say.
My panties aren't in a wad about anything, and only the most ludicrous sort of person would even try pretending that I am a Patriots hater, so I don't take your attacks seriously. Frankly, I've been watching you spiral into pure insanity with nothing but fascination. I think it's been a hoot to watch you become an even worse poster than you had been, because I wasn't even sure it was possible. I mean, you were once a quality poster, but you became absolute crap a lot of years ago. And now, watching you fall even further into the depths of poster self-beclowning, it's like watching a 100 car pileup where I don't have to worry about helping the victimes. I'm basically pulling over on the side of the road to survey the damage.

It's crazy that you would call someone who said he was "definitely going to stop following the sport and stop posting here after Brady left" a Patriot hater. I'd be mad too if I were that person facing such an accusation.
Is that because he didn’t stop following the sport or because he came back here pretending to be a patriots fan so he could trash them for Brady being gone?

The clown emoji has been a crucial addition to this forum.

Notice how I'm not using it on all posts critical of the decision? Only the hyperbolic, exaggerated, irrational takes - like the ones suggesting Belichick is now equivalent to Jerry Buss, which is about as absurd as it gets. It's been primarily reserved for one individual . . . well, two, now that Craw has shown up, who is far and away the worst poster on this forum.

Pretty remarkable the mods haven't snapped their fingers for Craw yet.

Brady always had it and there were a few times(Buffalo driving for a win and fumbles, Seattle comes up 1 yard short to win) comes to mind.

So much of this clutch gene stuff is just a coin flip narrative. And that is not a Brady observation but a general one.

There would have been no great AFCCG victory at Arrowhead if Dee Ford lines up a couple inches farther back. Instead the game would essentially end on a Brady turnover. There would have been no great comeback against the Falcons if their RB doesn't **** up protection and Hightower produces a strip sack. Then there is also Butler intercepting the Seahawks on the goalline. There would have been no Bucs title if GB actually was able to move the ball against the Bucs defense after 3 consecutive INTs by Brady in the fourth quarter of a Championship game.

In all those cases Brady had absolutely nothing to do with how a dire situation turned into the favor of his team. But since the outcome was a victory the other things he did in that game became magnified.

And again before someone thinks this is Brady bashing let me say that is true for all players -- I am sure you can do the same thing with Mahomes, Rodgers & co -- the game of football is highly random at times because it has so many moving pieces at the same time.

You can also turn it around and point out how those QBs would have had more titles if little things that they have no control over (e.g. helmet catch, the Manningham reception or any defensive play against the Eagles) had gone the other way.

I get the human need for stories and narratives but at the same time I feel like people do way too much myth building out of that, instead of appreciating that sometimes they are the fortunate ones on a specific day.

It's me. How many times per day do you sneak a peak at shirtless photos of Bill?

say The Bucs are a talented team and Brady has great weapons and people will come out in droves to tell you why they really weren't that talented.

But point out Bill won with Jimmy in 2016 and cassell on 2008 they will tell you those teams were talented so it doesn't count.

I have found with the Brady cultists that they will just twist the argument any way they want to prove they won. I have been accused of saying Brady was on average this year, top 15 this year, and only average his first three years of his starting career. And that is just from Kontradiction.

I wouldn't have been fine with 1-15. The coaching staff and that includes Bill would have been fired after a debacle like that. And rightfully so. 1-15 to me would be an immediate disqualifier for Bill in any conversation about GOAT head coach.

I don't think BB can wave a magic wand and make this a playoff team in 2021 but I think we'll hang around for most of the season and it will be clear we're a lot better than we were in 2020...and a year from now with an answer at QB we have an even better and younger team whose window is about to open and ready to make the Bills AFC East dynasty a very short lived one.
I think Bill has enough good will to have survived an awful season. He would never tank, not in his DNA. To me the fastest way to get back to where we were is the franchise QB, that’s all I’m saying. Sometimes you have to fall before you rise again.

14M for Cam Newton. BB's gonna RUN it BACK!!!

Yeah, some good points. One of the biggest takeaways I took away last year from Cam is that he lacked that "clutch gene". Brady always had it and there were a few times(Buffalo driving for a win and fumbles, Seattle comes up 1 yard short to win) comes to mind. I'm sure there are others, but I am having a blond moment now....anyway, let's see what happens in free agency and the draft...I would be really surprised if we come out of both with only Cam and Stidham.
You brought up Trent Brown, that trade is a home run. Bethel is a good add too.

The Titans instantly got way better with Tannehill. Mariota and Bridgewater both living off college hype, neither have been very good in the NFL.

150% it was Derrick Henry. Henry basically made Tannehill.

Zero times per day, fortunately.

If you don't want to see my reactions, simply ignore me. It's an open forum and folks are welcome to use it however this wish; the emoji reactions are part of the functionality of the forum. Are they petty and childish? Yes, absolutely - but so is your reaction to the Cam Newton news.

If seeing my reactions to your posts bothers you, fortunately there is a way to remedy that.

Except there’s, like, zero evidence that he’s lost a step. None. He just threw 40 TDs. In a brand new system. With a brand new coach. At age 42. With no training camp. As far as “vs the blitz,” what were those splits with and without Marpet and anything representing an NFL-caliber interior OL in a vertical offense going up against primarily a Cover-2 Rat and Robber look with every defense they played? You won’t answer that, of course, because it blows up your point. I think he won head to head against Mahomes and Rodgers in the playoffs as well. Can you check that for me? I do believe you called those two elite and ranked them over Brady as well. Heh. You ranked Josh Allen over him at one point. LMFAOOOOOOOO!

Outside of that? Top 5 post by you. Easily.

In your opinion. Brady two number one WRs this past year. I said he can no longer carry a bad offense. How did anything he did in 2020 prove me wrong. 2019 proved me right. Brady has a long way to fall being the greatest of all time. A minor slip in talent will still make him a top talent.

And Josh Allen had a better season as a passer than Brady. He didn't go Super Bowl, but then again, Brady wouldn't have gone either if the Bucs' defense didn't totally shut down Aaron Rodgers and wouldn't have won if the Bucs defense didn't shutdown Mahommes. That is why I don't rank QB season performance based on Super Bowl rings. They aren't the only players on the field in the plays. It takes a team to win.

And struggled against the blitz this year. That is a provable fact.

Ok, no more Brady talk.

LOL! Pure insanity. Now you think I am like you.

Funny no one has ever taken you seriously other than irrational Belichick haters who now agree with you that Belichick was never really good and he was just a product of Brady.

and which veteran franchise QB do you think that we have an opportunity to get? I suspect that the answer is "none".

With regard to the draft, that is an entirely different discussion.

Belichick has chosen Newton as his veteran. If we get a first round QB in the draft, we will all wonder when he will be ready to start.

To be clear, I would have preferred Trubiski.
