[Reportedly false] Ryan Fitzpatrick to retire?

Befard didn’t say New England was out on Mariota
he said the Patriots weren’t interested in him, I don’t know if he would rework his contract if those plans would change at all

Various GMs in the league: Fitz, want to come to us for league minimum?

Fitz: eff that noise!

he said the Patriots weren’t interested in him, I don’t know if he would rework his contract if those plans would change at all
got a link ?

He pretty much did. Said they weren’t interested
The comment i read was something to the effect of some nfl dude told him he didn’t think they would be interested.

No that’s not what he said. (Unless there is a comment I missed). What he said was

Let’s just say from people that I’ve talked to around the league that his personality, his leadership, the way he leads teams — he doesn’t really, sort of sits in the back — I don’t think is very appealing to the Patriots. I don’t think he would be very high up on their list.

That is Bedard guessing that he doesn’t think they would be interested not Bedard saying the patriots said they aren’t interested. That’s a big difference.

I stand corrected thank you sir.
Do you Believe they will trade or sign Mariota if cut.

In the absence of actual interest, it's fair for older players to use the option of retirement as leverage for more money. Fitzpatrick definitely wouldn't be the first guy to use that strategy.

so...still burned up that your Kaperkrap didn't get another shot in the NFL, eh? how long will you be suffering from your TDS?

Who (completely irrelevantly) brought up Kaepernick in this thread?

How do we know about team interest when the legal tampering period hasn't even started?

If he does leave he'll take one of my favorite names, Fitzpicksix, with him.

Probably the same way that teams know what offers are out there for potential FAs. I think it's called collusion.

oh look...I caught another Kaeperkrap social justice moron....sorry for your derangement

Do you want to talk about Ryan Fitzpatrick, or do you want to virtue signal some more?

Fitzpatrick is 38, which is a reasonable age to retire from the NFL at, given that few teams would want to invest in a QB of that age.

Kaepernick was in his early-to-mid 20s when teams stopped showing interest.
You do realize that Kaepernick started 11 games in his age 29 season right?

Should of known when Clayton was breaking the retirement news.
I don't know how it'll end up, and maybe the retirement does happen, but the report never made sense. "Slow free agency" when free agency hasn't even started for players like Fitz?
