Bill inherited some very good players (including a hall of famer) when he took over. If a player is good enough he can fit into a system. Look at Bruschi and McGinest.
I just don't understand this desperate need to crown Bill for having a single winning season with the Browns. Like he was on the verge of a dynasty there and it got ripped away from him. The foundation for the 2000 super bowl started being built when Bill was gone. The Ravens drafted two hall of famers, Ray Lewis, and Johnathan Ogden and some very good players, Peter Boulware, Jamie Sharper, Chris McCallister, Jamal Lewis, and Adalius Thomas. Bill didn't do much in Cleveland but for some reason people seem to want to credit him for planting the seeds of a super bowl team.
