Look, you can’t just ignore basically 9 seasons with an under .500 record. I get that Cleveland has been a dumpster fire for years, but it’s still on his record. I don’t 5hink he needs another ring but he does need to turn the Pats back into a legit Super Bowl contender, I mean AFC championship team for a couple years to show it was not just TB
9 seasons with an under .500 record? I'm counting 6 (and I dismiss the 5th year in Cleveland for obvious reasons, the owner blew it up, players lost faith in the owner, Kosar was replaced, team lost faith in Belichick, etc.).

Pats - 26 wins 28 losses, 0-0 playoffs - LOSING RECORD
Clev - 36 wins 44 losses, 1-1 playoffs - LOSING RECORD
Total - 62 wins 72 losses, 1-1 playoffs - LOSING RECORD

Almost 140 games.

Until he can prove me wrong and start winning, proves he can win a SB, he will get the heat.
And you can arrange all excuses you want to defend your guy.
What excuses. Guy has coached for 20 years in New England. The guy won more than any coach in history in those 20 years. In 2018, the Patriots held the Rams to 3 points. I bet that the Patriots win that game 19 times out of 20 no matter the QB (unless it's Peterman).

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

A 62-72 record is a MASSIVE representation that he is a losing coach without Brady.

That's all I will say to you from now on.

You need a QB in this league. Bledsoe couldn't get the job done.
Bledsoe isn't half the QB that Brady is.

That being said, Bledsoe was the starting QB 6x for winning teams. So not sure what you're basing this on, the idea that he couldn't lead the Patriots to a winning season in '01. Not to mention he twice has held aloft the AFCCG trophy.

If BB had many losing seasons, he would've been fired like every coach in history. But he didn't. What I contest is the idea that if he didn't have immediate success like he did he would have been fired by 2003. No, he wouldn't have been fired by then. Kraft isn't blind. He very well knew how Belichick transformed the Patriots defense 2001 through 2007. Belichick molded that defense into one of the all time greatest defenses in NFL history. You don't fire a coach like that. Not to mentioned the fact that adding Belichick in 1996 to be assistant head coach also transformed that D into a Super Bowl caliber D. Why do you think Kraft tried to hire him immediately afterward?
It's been reported multiple times they had a 5 year plan to make it to the super bowl. Dont know why these things get forgotten.

That's all I will say to you from now on.
And I will say to you that Chuck Noll and others had the same losing % through the first 4 years of their NFL careers. It's no big deal especially given all the evidence of the ensuing 20 years.

He has the chance to prove me wrong, although I don't think he has much more time to do it.
Last year? 7-9.

Let's see this year. I bet on another losing season.

He is the greatest coach because he had Brady.

If he was so good, why could not he win in Cleveland?

A long time ago? Such a lot of excuses, oh my god.
You obviously don't think BB is a great coach. I disagree wholeheartedly. If you think Brady is the only reason BB is a great coach then you obviously have a different way of appreciating football than me. It makes sense, humans have in many different ways of appreciating things and different viewpoints. It is one of the things that makes life so interesting. I hope BB wins you over this season and the Pats get back on track. Thanks for your reply.

Almost 140 games.

This is not nonsensical.
It is what it is. BB is a losing coach without Brady.

He can prove us wrong and turn this ship. It's up to him. If he can, I will be the first to eat crow.
You seem to have an inability of incorporating context into an analysis.

You act like Bill inherited Super Bowl caliber teams. He didn't.

You act like Bill was a peripheral figure in Tom Brady's career. He wasn't.

You really have no ****ing clue what you are arguing.

Based on your ****ty, infrequent posts over the last 9 years I highly doubt you'll come back and eat crow on anything.

Given who was drafted, and developing, during those first 4 Noll years, I don't think this argument is what you think it is.

I'm on record here saying Belichick deserves credit for 2 Super Bowls and Brady for 4. But both needed each other anyway. Brady with Arians wins 1. Brady with Licht and, say, Rivera wins 2 or 3. Brady with Shanahan wins 5. Belichick with Manning wins 4. Belichick with, say, David Carr wins 2. Belichick with Jake Delhomme 1.

Belichick though put together a consistent team / approach / philosophy / team building. Getting rid of this so we can search the wilderness like the post Shula Phins and post Levy Bills is definitely an act of insanity.
Brady gets credit for 6 (7)
BB gets credit for 6 (8)

Moving on....

Did he prove this year anything? 7-9.

And how about this: next season, he will have another losing season.

Camille, Camille, you are nervous. Did you even check when I got here?
Oh my gosh!
I know, you were trying to say I am a ****in newbie that ship has sailed....same thing about BB's career without Brady...another losing season. bye bye darling

You are a n00b. It's obvious.

Appreciate the interest in getting involved in the discussion but there are men talking.

Wow, you are so intimidating, Camille.

Now the boogieman has spoken, I won't even sleep this night.

You are nothing more than an arrogant prick, Camille. That's who you are.

And you can try to defend your man BB, but he is a loser without Brady.
Almost 140 games to prove my point.

And the beautiful thing about this: he won't have more winning seasons, Buffalo is dominating this division, he will retire in 3 years and, hopefully, Brady will add more 2 to his hands. How about that, Camille?

You have no idea who Camille is do you? Moron.

So....Which one did you prove?

I'm expecting you don't reply because if you do, that means you care about my opinion....or you are just a punk-ass trying to start ****. You might even be drunk which gives you a pass for today.

Go ahead and reply. It'll prove 1 of 3 things.
I'll go with all 3. You hit the trifecta.

Or you could be an idiot poster. The jury is still out on that one...or is it?

Be gone with you.
