Yes, for me, he was a top QB.
But I can concur with the notion that he was, at the very least, very good.

But Rob was telling us he was just a GOOD QB, a game manager.
Stop with that **** Rob.
Rob's been talking out of his ass for the entirety of the Brady/BB discussion. He's not going to change now. Let me give you an example
First, I said 2001-2003, not 2004.

Second, Eli Manning won two Super Bowls in three years...

Eli actually won two Super Bowls in 5 years, not 3, and that completely guts Rob's argument there.

I get him, he is trying to defend BB.

But once Brady got that ring with TB, it's over buddy.

Just accept your narrative is wrong Rob and let BB prove he can win without Brady.

Brady was a Pro Bowler in his first year as a starter, and had 3 SB wins in his first 4 seasons. His role wasn't as obvious then as it is in hindsight, so it's understandable that people living in the moment might have missed some of what he brought to the table even then. But, looking back on Brady's entire career, the notion that he wasn't an elite player QB in those early years is, to be kind, a product of questionable thinking and analysis.

Brady wasn't a Pro Bowler in 2001. He was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2002. But so were Jeff Garcia and Kordell Stewart. Were they elite in 2002 too? Pro Bowl is a popularity contest.

Coming from you, I wear it as a badge of honor. You were a Belichick hater complaining that Belichick was wasting Brady's remaining years because at 34 or 35, Brady only had a few years left. It was comical then when you embarrassed yourself on this board. I guess you have years of pent up hate because you couldn't complain about Belichick during the the second dynasty run.

It changes one point out of a half dozen. Thanks for playing.

Rob TB12 did make the ProBowl based on his 2001 season.

So second a QB gets a Super Bowl ring, they become elite?

Rob, drop it, please.

You are trying to convince us Brady was a GOOD QB, a game manager.
Stop it man.

The BB cancel culture point to 1995 as a way to show how Bill sucks without a good QB need to revisit history and account for what really happened in 1995.

On Week 4 they spanked an eventual 13-3 Chiefs team 35-17 to run their record to 3-1. Up to that point Modell kept his conversations with the Browns minority owners and John Moag head of the MD Stadium Authority in secret.

Because Modell did not want to be in a situation where he would need to move a very good, possible Super Bowl team, he purposely sabotaged their morale and focus and leaked news of the move to the press and asked select players and front office personnel (see Ozzie Newsome) behind BB's back about about a move to Baltimore.

Art Modell is a piece of **** and folks need to cut Bill some slack with what happened in 1995.

There is a really good A Football Life on the 1995 Browns produced by the NFL Network.

I don't get the Belichick cancel culture. I get it somewhat because there are a lot of uneducated fans who are upset that Brady left and won a Super Bowl and other fans who were just too young to remember how the Pats won in the early parts of their dynasty.

And Deus was part of the Belichick cancel culture ten years ago. I understand him. This year must have been a year long Christmas for him because he could finally unload on Belichick again.

Stop it man.

Until you accept the truth. I will continue.

Seriously, how old were you in 2001-2003? I have been here for like a decade now and you weren't here back when I was active here. So I am assuming you are in your 20s or early 30s and were probably really young when the dynasty started.

This is where you make mistakes, assuming people's age.
I'm almost 40, so don't try to lecture me, please.

I am a Patriots fan since my 10s, so stop this ****.

Brady was not just a good QB, and if you really think we are going to accept this blasphemy, you are for a rude awakening.

You can continue as long as you want, I do not agree with you, it's just your twisted perception because of your crush on BB. Facts.

Answer, did BB win before or after Brady? Tell me his record without Brady. You won't tell me, you know why? Because you don't want to be embarrassed here.

Regarding the Brady "game manager" argument in his early years: How is it possible he led the league in TD's his second season? Game managers don't do that. Without him, they would've had a losing record with that defense.

...and at the end of the day fans admire/root for players and not 69 year old coaches and are all bent out of shape their hero is gone and refuse to acknowledge he didn't want to be here anyway. We can also acknowledge BB wanted him but only at the right price. They just don't like/nor understand that part of the business.

Another village idiot. Posters spend way too much time responding to him/it

Thank you!

Make it rain hahaha

Man, it is hard to argue to such an inflexible person like Rob.

Right price? You know you are full of BS here, BB did not want to give him more years.

And honestly, can you say with a straight face Brady does not deserve 30 mi?

Ok then hahaha

It's amusing to me that the biggest Brady hater, Nick Wrong, not only admitted he was wrong about the GOAT, but went out of his way to produce a segment breaking Brady's career into THREE (3) HOF periods. That's right, Nick thinks Brady had a HOF career from 2000-2006, then another HOF period from 2007-2013, and the final one from 2014-present.

Yet here we have a bunch of supposed Patriots fans trying to minimize Brady's GOATNESS to justify embellishing their deity, Belichick just because he's still with the team. It's truly sad how TEAM BILL is full of Brady haters (disclaimer: not all are haters but one is too many).

I said he was good with flashes of elite. And I also said that his lack of eliteness could be the way he was used , but he was clearly a game manager early in his career. That is a fact.

And I don't have a crush on Belichick. I have said many times in this thread and elsewhere that Belichick has been a mediocre GM in recent years. And his drafts in recent years have mostly been awful.

And did Belichick win before or after Brady crap just shows your ignorance with football. Obviously, he only had one year after and most teams take a huge step back the year after they lose their long time starter. Watch how bad the Saints will be next year. And Cleveland was a different team with a different roster and different ownership and it was Belichick's first time coach.

And honestly, can you say with a straight face Brady does not deserve 30 mi?
Sorry.

I'll have to use this gif for the 4,939rd time because i'm tired of typing the same goddamn thing.

Good my ass.
It is your twisted perception buddy. Stop it.

Yes, you do have a crush on him, we all get it. But you don't need to tell us lies to validate your points.

The question is simple: did he win? Yes or no?
You can't shoot it because you know you are going to be smashed.

Cleveland all different? All I see is excuses and more excuses to save your guy's ass.

Sorry.

The problem was not money, Brady always sacrified.

The problem was years. You know that. All of us know that.
But go ahead, try to twist reality.
