Pats fans on this board wouldve been happy if brady struggled to a 5-11 season and BB was right and the media dumping on the Goat QB as a product of some system. Its kinda sad.

Belichick is a proven incompetent.

Ask Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Patrick Mahomes and the entire Bills fanbase how incompetent Belichick is...... moron

Yup. Lets just fire him and bring in Adam Gase. You are right. I don't know why I didn't see it before.
Looks like you seriously need to brush up on your reading comprehension. I've never advocated to fire Bill and that's literally not even a piece of my post. Quote the person who posted that, not me.

It's great to know though how thin-skinned you Belichick disciples are today though. Brings me joy watching you all eat crow.

That poster has completely lost it.

Incredibly shortsighted and millenial take but not surprising. No clue about what this team has been for 20 yrs but 1 game makes you fire the coach. You would want andy reid fired today as well. And by the way, who would you want to hire?
Easy grandpa... I'm not any less familiar than you of the Patriots franchise history. I know Belichick had the greatest football player of all-time for 20 years. Yet he squandered an entire decade of his prime. Flushed at least two full seasons down the drain with incompetent coaching... 2015 and 2017. And then forced his meal ticket out of town because that's what his ego told him to do. Belichick is a total fraud.

to the wonderful inhabitants of tom brady's underwear ....... BB ain't goin' anywhere......if you don't like it, there are 31 other teams
No problem, dude. I'll be rooting for Tampa Bay until the Patriots get good again which very likely won't be until Belichick is replaced so in the meantime I'll b*tch and moan about how he f*cked up my team.

20 years of excellence. Your opinion is rendered moot.
That's it? that's pretty weak.

All of the success of the team over the entire course of the dynasty is tied to one player... Brady. We had him, he made the franchise relevant for the first time ever in its existence, he produced multiple championship teams with entirely different rosters, and yet Belichick threw him out of town like a has-been. Brady just won another Super Bowl with the biggest loser franchise in the history of professional sports. Brady's the dynasty maker. Not Belichick.

So we never win super bowl 53 if he was fired. What's your point?
No, we would have won it without him. In fact, the roster would have been better because it would have been one less pathetically bad draft and the path would have been easier because you probably could have hired a head coach who can recognize Gronk shouldn't be on the backend of a hail mary defense (that shouldn't have been on the field anyway considering most quarterbacks can't throw 80-yard passes).

Maybe you're not paying attention but the Bills have skyrocketed past the Patriots in one season. The Bills probably would pay half of Belichick's salary for him to remain in New England. Brady dominated the Bills not Belichick. Did you miss that December ass-kicking in Foxboro?

Peyton Manning only won his second Super Bowl in 2015 because Belichick f*cked up the Patriots season on like five different occasions. Nice job Bill, cementing Peyton's legacy. And his brother's.

Since when has Belichick stopped Mahomes? Here's a hint... never. Todd Boles obviously has way more of a clue than Belichick.

It's interesting how Brady finally cruised to his easiest Super Bowl victory with a new head coach (who every claimed was a clown). It's refreshing to see how a franchise should recognize and appreciate an all-time great player. Hell, in one season, Brady proved he's a better team builder than Belichick, which isn't really saying much but still. Gronk, AB and Fournette accounting for all the touchdowns... Brady brought those players to Tampa Bay. Belichick got Damiere Byrd and Devin Asiasi.

I don't necessarily think coach Bill is on the hot seat. But, I don't doubt for a second that if coach Bill puts up another doozy of a season missing the playoffs without Brady, Krafty Bob may push him to gracefully "retire". We now have 7 seasons w no Brady (5 in Cleveland, 2 in NE) and Bill the Coach has made the playoffs ONCE without Brady.

Ron Borges has entered the chat.

Bill isn't being fired but he also doesn't have an infinite amount of time to rebuild this team. The clock has started.
Bill has 2 years to put a contender on the field. I have no doubt about that.

1 year to improve on 7-9 and the next year to produce a contender.

If the NEP aren't looking like a contending team for 2023 I can totally see an ~81 year old Bob Kraft let Jonathan make the call on BB.

it will be a business decision, not a football quality one.......if the bottom line doesn't take a hit, the krafts will be more patient

WE ? You are a browns fans too ? I dont know about kraft but you sure want Bill fired just like you wanted brady gone and now complain why brady was let go.

Yup, why pay a coach $20m for mediocre results when you can pay $6m?

If we don’t show signs of turning it around I doubt Kraft will want to pay Bill $100m over the next 5 years.

An excellent point.

The very definition of bandwagoning...

Yea once I read that any slightest bit of attention I gave his posts is gone.

He should be banned.

One really good reason why a team would make an immediate coaching change is losing the locker room. From what we're hearing from guys like D-Mac - that has not happened.

But people can't separate GM Bill from the coach anymore. They're one and the same. A failed rebuild and it's the end of the line imo. All great coaches have their expiry date and their teams move on when they do.

Fatalism after a 7-9 season. Cleveland had a parade for 7-8-1. it seems rather odd that most patsfans seem to have missed the reality the team was going into rebuild.

The reality is most rebuilds are not win the division with double digit wins.

It's a great thing that patsfans was not alive in the 1940's. After the first season, the Germans were in Paris and bombing the snot out of London.

We shouldn't have needed a rebuild until Brady retired.

We shouldn't have needed a rebuild until Brady retired.

That's actually not correct but think it anyway

2019 says hello.

My guess is Belichick has a vision of a team that has:

A defense based on the league leading elite secondary.

Elite special teams

Rotational "send in waves" pass rushers.

Smart linebackers

Go back and look at the KC game. At the end of Q3, KC only had 6 points. That offense only scored 19 with 330 yards of offense.

On offense, he will start the process of going away from CAP busting franchise QB's to having:

Very competent QB play at a reasonable price with very smart scheme WR's at a reasonable price

Elite offensive line that excels in the run game. People will think Belichick invented I formation football.

Great Running Back by Committee to pound smaller, faster linebackers

This model gets games in the 20-25 points range.
