I have to wonder how long Derrick Henry will still be elite, even though he is only turns 27 tomorrow.

An NFL-high 363 touches this year, and 772 touches over two seasons.

Maybe one more quality season, then he's toast. There can't be a lot of tread left on those tires after that many hits in that short a period of time.

I'm thinking about how DeMarco Murray, Jamal Lewis, Chris Johnson, Priest Holmes, Shaun Alexander, etc. dropped off after heavy use.

Remember thinking he’d wear out as far back as when he was entering Alabama after looking at his high school usage and seeing his size. Mind boggling record setting high school career. 462 carries his senior year for 4,200+ yards and 55 TDs in 13 games. Seems like a guy who’s just special. That said, they’d of course be wise to find ways to moderate his usage in the years ahead.
