Captain Stone was a big proponent of Aiyuk ... wouldn’t have been a bad pick at all ...

Sure he liked him a lot. Just not where he was picked. There was a lot of buzz surrounding the Pats and that player. Don’t usually fall for the bs about Patriots create attention to players they scout. But in that case maybe there was something to it?

dude, I know you have never played this game at any level, so you have no idea what it feels like hit or get hit. Or the difference between a high school hit and a d1 college hit.
Trust me, he can survive a while on his athletic ability, but the hits he is taking now are way more than anything he has ever felt before. The 3 days I was in a pro camp were the hardest hits I ever took in my life on the field.

as for the senior bowl, again 3 days of practice. He can survive on athletic ability.

do I hope Duggar has a good career with us, yes! Do I hope he has that special heart and desire and drive to overcome his less than stellar college competition, yes. But I would feel much better and much rather have McKinney.
I also would've taken McKinney ahead of Uncle Dugg at 37...But I would've taken Jeremy Chinn
(and Zach Baun, and DE Yetur Gross Matos) ahead of either of them.

And good on ya for getting into a pro camp; that must've been an awesome as well as painful experience...

In the meantime in NJ:

Gotcha. They actually have a very good front 7. Vita Vea and Suh are an excellent pairing at DT. Barrett and JPP are both great pass rushers. Then they Lavonte David and Devin White at LB.

The only weakness is their young secondary. But if they take steps forward, they could have a top 10 defense easily.
*On paper.

Last year’s Cleveland squad also had few (no) weaknesses. Bad teams find ways to lose. I remain cautious about TBay’s chances.

Yeah I almost certainly wouldn't have taken him at 23 if that meant not having another pick until 87...but at 37 and with LBs Ken Murray (whom I would've taken at 23 if we kept it) & Patrick Queen and C/G Cesar Ruiz off the board, Aiyuk would've been my top offensive player available ahead of OLman Joshua Jones & TE Cole Kmet...

Damn shame...He & especially Micah Kiser would've been much, Much better picks as LBs at 143 than JaWrong Bentley, who would've very likely still been available in the 7th round...

I smell what you're cooking...any given Sunday and all...but in Tampa's case last season it was more that bad QBs find a way to lose, and that bad QB is gone...

You underestimate « Mr Player Coach » Arians’ inability. Losing a SB is his greatest achievement.

Who are your playmakers ? I don’t mean « who’s gotten really nice stats because Winston is airing it out 25pts down ». Other than Brady and Gronk (both players I have real concerns about in regards to « how much is left ») who has made a big play in an NFL playoff game ?

Indeed, I should never under-estimate BA's inability to win football games that actually matter...
He might actually become the one dude who de-rails the Tompa Train...

About a 10 week recovery for McKinney if things go well.

???

Arians has shown that, when he's given a decent to good QB, he's a winning coach. And, when you deliberately frame questions in a dishonest manner (can't be a playmaker if you haven't made big plays in a playoff game), you frame the discussion in a manner designed to create the answer of your choice.

There’s a big difference though QB. Mayfield sucks. Also Cleveland didn’t do much at OL. I expect tampa’s OL to improve. Gronk will help with that as well.

« Winning coach ». What has he won ? Over the years, I’ve noticed you value « winning more than losing ». That’s great. I care much less about « a winning record ». I want to win championships. Arians hasn’t yet and I think he’ll retire w/o one as head coach.
