PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Training Camp Day 4

Not necessarily. That assumes they’re all the same mistakes. It could be that one was seeing if the receiver could adjust to an underthrow and the next to an overthrow, and when the DB adjusted better to both we have two INTs but not the same mistake twice. For example.

I wasn't talking about INTs on the same day. But someone posted stats that e.g. Stidham has thrown 4 INTs on the same kinda concept in 3 days. Since we can assume that mistakes are usually pointed out it seems like someone involved (whether thats QB or the skill position player) didn't get the memo.

When are we, as a group, allowed to slot Harris as a Bust?

Asking for a friend
If you mean Kneal Harry, then the answer is: one year from now...at the latest...

I’m trying to remember who said, “Stats are for losers.”
The HC of one of the most prolific offenses in league history, and who kept playing his QB & starting WR far longer in the 2nd half of blowouts than probably any other HC would've kept playing them...as if he wanted to see them break stats records or something...

Do you think the team doesn't keep tabs on such things? This is a team that uses analytics on its scouts.
Then either the team is using the wrong anal-ytics or the wrong scouts...

The team is strong in scouting some areas, and weak in others. Also, as we've been informed by multiple reporters, one issue that we have to factor in is the "I'm Bill Belichick, and I'm going to overrule my scouts" factor.

I think after 4 practices, it's pretty safe to say that Cam will most likely be our starting QB in week 1.

Nice to see Harris and Gunner taking advantage of their reps so far.

I love this drill. Stop/start speed. Literally every athlete from every sport will do this. Sometimes holding something (med ball) to really focus on the lower half. I used to tell anyone doing this to not make it a race. The stop/start - explosion is everything here. 11 knows what's up.

Why? Are you saying my boy Stid does not stand a chance in winning the job and that all of this is a charade? I have seen nothing to suggest Stid can't win the job.

A few unknown standouts so far:
  • WR Devin Ross
  • WR Gunner Olszewski
  • CB Myles Bryant
  • LB Cassh Maluia
  • LB De'Jon Harris
Given the lack of LB depth, I think Cassh Maluia is the closest to being a lock. Gunner will probably make the team as WR5, as Ross doesn't have ST value. Myles Bryant will be a tough cut. I think he's going to be good enough to find another team.

I know it is early in camp, but elumubar looks pretty decent at right tackle.

I really thought cajuste would be giving him more of a fight.

I have yet to see Cunningham. Either he is the invisible man, or he plays like the invisible man.

I didn't have him on this year's list but I was on Harris to NEP a few years ago. Had 7 on my board this year, that'll probably never happen again.

Is that with or without Cam? Or does it matter?

Things are looking pretty bad with that guy.

If Cam Newton is healthy & laser-focused, and if all the other projected starters are healthy & contributing as expected, vs this schedule, then I'm looking at 8-8, best case...If Cam Newton ends up gimpy and/or mistake-prone, if some of the starters' nagging injuries continue to linger and if the kids fail to progress as hoped, then I'm looking at 6-10, same as if Stid or Hoyer were starting...

I'd rather keep De'Jon Scoota Harris before ever considering Straight Cassh Malulu.

Maluia is a lock for the Practice Squad. If there aren't 6 LB's better than he is, then Belichick will sign or trade for one or two before Game 2.

LB (6)
Winovich
Uche
Bentley
Copeland
Jennings
Harris (my 6th for now)

DE's (4)
I have Guy, Calhoun, Simon and Wise as the DE's.

DT's (4)
Allen, Cowart, Butler, Kilgo (for now)
