Derek Rivers has pics of Bill like Jake Bequette did.
'Doesn't it seem like there is one player on injured reserve that you think "when he hits the field...." and then ends up getting cut.

It's fine when you're already established as the starter such as Aaron Rodgers, but I don't think it's to wise to just chuck it up and use the reasons above if it doesn't go your way when you're trying to make the team/become the starter.

Cassel is the very, very, rare exception where he played terribly, yet won the back up job/became starter when Brady got injured.

Unfortunately, the only thing good about Harris is his availability. Lazar has said he doesn't have any burst and won't be running away from defenders. And don't expect him to do anything different than Michel.

I've heard good things about Harris from multiple reporters including Lazar. He's not a speedster, but I think he will contribute as an all around back. Actual quote from Lazar:

Damien Harris continues to stack good days together and might be New England’s best skill player through two days. He made a nasty jump-cut in the hole to get away from Josh Uche early in practice, and then capped things off with a one-handed snag on an angle route during goal-line work. Harris’s vision between the tackles to set up blocks and make cuts into space continues to garner praise from running backs coach Ivan Fears. Plus, he was heavily involved as a receiver in the first two days of pads. Harris is making the most of his opportunities with Michel and Miller on the sideline.

I watched a video of Lazar yesterday and he didn't sound too excited about him. I'll find it.

Stidham and Rodgers are at very different places in their career. Established veteran superstar vs young guy trying to win a job. I highly doubt Stidham is using these 7 on 7’s to experiment with throw angles and timing. He’s trying to beat out Cam and Hoyer for the starting job and he doesn’t have the benefit of pre season games to make an impression. How these guys play in camp will determine who starts week 1.
It is practice. He is practicing. When else is he going to learn these things? We don't have any idea what the scenarios are. Maybe Bill said push it there's 40 seconds left and no timeouts and you need to get into field goal range and instead of checking down like he normally would have on the play he has to force it and hope his guy makes a play. How do we know that one of the many new receivers or tight ends didn't run the wrong route, break the wrong way, or just get outmuscled on a pass?

I just hate "practice stat" tweets. It seems like one or two beat guys started keeping tabs a couple years ago and now they all do. It has to be frustrating to be fighting for a job and have a bunch of writers potentially pulling things out of context and putting them all over Twitter.

Do you think the team doesn't keep tabs on such things? This is a team that uses analytics on its scouts.

Sooner or later this secondary is going to have to take it down a notch. Very demoralizing so far to these QBs.
They gave Gilmore the day off. Tomorrow maybe they’ll give all the DBs the day off.

Team probably keeps tabs on it, but that doesn’t translate to learning anything about it from reporters’ tweets or internet message board posts.

Jeff Thomas looks like he could blow by people in a heartbeat.

The thing is if INTs keep happening then the "just trying to figure out the receiver chemistry" excuse becomes a crock of ****. Because either the skill players keep repeating mistakes or the QB is.

Not necessarily. That assumes they’re all the same mistakes. It could be that one was seeing if the receiver could adjust to an underthrow and the next to an overthrow, and when the DB adjusted better to both we have two INTs but not the same mistake twice. For example.

Is there some backstory here? Former poster?

New poster. Garbage poster, who's already had Ian talk to him about it. Rather than slapping him around every time I see his crap (literally, in this case), I decided to just have him disappear from my screen.

Yes it’s practice, but this year there’s no pre season games so the bulk of the evaluation will be done in practice.

He’s fighting for starting job and he’ll have to win that job from what he shows in practice. We don’t know if a pick was a WR’s fault, but when we are hearing more INTs’ than TDs that’s not a good sign.

I’m pulling for Stidham and I hope he’s the real deal, but to act like training camp practice for a young player fighting for his position isn’t important in a year without pre season games is silly.
