Belichick, Patriots Coaches Honor Olympian Nate Ebner
Winslow Townson - USA TODAY Sports
It’s not often that one of your players is competing in the Olympics, and Bill Belichick and the coaching staff made a nice gesture on Tuesday as Nate Ebner gets set for action as he represents Team USA on their Rugby team.
Belichick and the coaches were spotted wearing #12 shirts during practice, which is the number Ebner is wearing as he competes down in Rio.

Ebner was granted permission to chase his Olympic aspirations earlier this year before leaving the team by Belichick and it’s clear that the head coach is 100% behind his player. It’s certainly something that should bring a smile to faces of fans here in New England who, like Belichick, will also likely be keeping an eye on how the US does during each of these upcoming matches.
