DRAFT Dalton Keene

My biggest fear about this pick is McDaniels sucks at evaluating players and skill positions. In 2006 we drafted Laurence Maroney, Chad Jackson, David Thomas, Garrett Mills. Thomas and Mills were TE busts. Michel is like Maroney, falls at first sign of contact. Harry is like Jackson, zero route running skills. I pray Asiasi and Keene don't end up like Thomas and Mills. I have zero faith in McDaniels working out players and giving Belichick bad input.

This must be about your third or fourth time making this exact post.

Just search the word Jackson made by him. It’s more like the 10th time at least

Are there any articles saying McDaniels made all those picks or even any recent articles about him personally working out/attending the pro days of our new TEs?

Yeah, it's the whole stating it again and again and again and again and again.... And again. That indicates an obsession.

Quick question...is there any video of this guy beating somebody in coverage? I know there's a lot of video of this JAG catching passes after being completely ignored, sneaking out in the flat, etc., but is there anything showing him beating a defender? Anything at all? We could set an over/under at 3.5 plays if anybody wants some action.

Considering this guy's talent level, it shouldn't be hard to find.

He shows decent speed and excellent hands (and he had a bad QB) so he will be a weapon for sure.

The problem with Keene is that he does not know how to protect himself. Until he learns to protect himself and get to the turf quickly, he is going to get killed. Safeties will knock his head off when he tries to get that extra yard.

Will he learn? Edelman got killed the first season but learned. Robert Edwards never did and was out of football pretty quick. Maybe it will take an injury, maybe not, but he needs to realize that he is playing with the headhunters now...

Robert Edwards got hurt on a beach

It's worse than that. These troll-fans are assuming that if they're wrong all will be forgiven in our delight with the success of the players they are bashing. So they see it as a no lose situation, i.e. if a player like Keene busts they'll never let us forget it, but if he's successful they'll be silent and "happy to be wrong" if confronted. This dynamic powers lots of the negativism in the press as well: everyone is happy if they're wrong, and we do tend to forgive them when things go well because we are indeed happy.

We must never forget and hold these troll-fans accountable when they are wrong. You know they never let us forget when they are right, so return the favor.

We will all have forgotten Keene by November, right around the time everybody comes around on how bad of a draft pick N'Keal Treadwell was. Don't fool yourself.

Edwards was out of football because he blew his knee out in a flag football game.

Robert Edwards was out of football because he tore up his knee on a beach, not because of his aggressive running style.

Nope. Just stating the obvious. Water is wet...the sky is blue...and on Keene's best day, he's a JAG.

Being a liquid, water is not itself wet, but can make other solid materials wet. Wetness is the ability of a liquid to adhere to the surface of a solid, so when we say that something is wet, we mean that the liquid is sticking to the surface of a material. Cohesive forces are also responsible for surface tension.

Hopefully you are deep in hiding by then.

Wait, you're already willing to give up on Chad Jackson?

Next you're gonna say it's time to cut bait on Hart Lee Dykes.

Hopefully you are deep in hiding by then.

Hopefully we will all be around and following a normal routine by then.
While I am not very high on Keene/Asiasi picks, I am sure one of them has to stick, right? I'd love to have my doubts erased.
