Celtics 2019 / 2020

What a tough loss that was. the refs sucked. Lots of bad calls. And long Unnecessary delays. It would have been nice to have Hayward.

Been awhile since I watched a Doc Rivers coached game. The guy remains the most overrated coach in the league.
Case in point: final shot in the 4th for LAC.... Did the “play” Doc “drew” up for Leonard look familiar? Paul Pierce knows it well.

Doc in the huddle: “Paul, I mean Kawhi, stand with the ball 30 ft from the bucket and let 12 seconds pass while your teammates stand still, then step forward and launch a low percentage 3 from 26 ft”
Docs signature last second go to play call.
New players same Doc

Gripping game
Marcus Smart did everything he could to secure a W.
LAC’s uncontested 3’s from the corner we’re back breakers
Theis continues to prove me wrong.
Walker needs to think pass more when he drives to the hoop against long arms.
Where did Jaylon Brown disappear too?
Every game it seems, Tatum has stretches of greatness and stretches of awful. Playing with the second stringers, apparently he gets every shot... and missed 3 in a row in about 30 seconds allowing LAC back in the game.

Major opportunity lost.

And yes, the refs were horrendous.
My biggest peave with the NBA never changes. Players like Baynes and now Theis are pin cushions for refs reluctant to call fouls on bigger names.

I was hoping for a 3-2 road trip but expected Boston to be 3-1 going into Denver

Why does Carson Edwards get minutes over Tremont Waters?

Because he does something they need badly.

I read a little more about the guard situation. Sounds like Waters is more along the lines of a true, ball handlerpoint guard like Wannamaker than Edwards who plays more of a SG role. Makes sense. And also that he is on a two way contract.

Loved Waters though. Talk about a spark plug off the bench.

Also, just an added bit, Waters is 5 10.

Love that kid ... hope he makes it to a nice bench role.
This kid would be a Patriot.... very smart and tough which helps make up for his height issue.
With a healthy Hayward hard to see him getting minutes this year but he'll play somewhere.

Irving wrote a doctoral thesis on why how he was treated didn’t bother him because there are more important things in life. This is exactly what someone who isn’t bothered would do, of course.

I'm so happy that idiot doesn't play for the Celtics anymore. He has all the physical skills and talent and none of the intangibles. What a clown

What a loser.

Everyone else doesn't understand . It's everyone else who is wrong.

Well, Stephen A Smith assures us we'll be sorry the next time we play the nets, cause Kyrie is a BALLER man, and he'll drop 60 on us.

That's if he doesn't miss the game with a migraine.

Gotta wonder who Kyrie’s ghost writer is.
His 7 months at Duke really honed his writing skills
A neighbor’s kid is currently at Duke. The kid tells me the one and done stars don’t attend classes and exit campus after NCAAs

The good news about Kyrie and Brooklyn.....a full hatred rivalry has been created, at least for C’s fans.... similar to when Fat Tuna slinked off to the JESTs taking Martin with him

The more hate the better during these 7 month *********** regular seasons

yes, one and done stars don't go to class in the fall and sign up for a full course load in the spring, but don't attend those either. By the time it catches up to them, they are in the NBA.

Nice win for the Celtics tonight. Against a good heat team. Without Hayward and smart.

Brown and Tatum are killing it.

they are both playing with a sh!t load of confidence.
Jaylen Brown should be on the All-Star team. You can make a solid case for Tatum as well. The only knock on Tatum is that his shooting efficiency hasn't been great. JB is playing great offense and defense and filling in the holes that he previously had in his game.

Caught some of the Cs-Cadavers game during the Vagiants-Fecals game...(season-highs?) 57.7% from the field, including 55.6% from 3...Haywood returns...they didn't go to the FT line much, partly due to being out-rebounded on the offensive glass, where Tristan Thompson was a beast (though his 1/7 from the FT line was ugly); would love to have an Offensive Rebounder like him here (a good defensive rebounder would also help)...Jaylen Brown's handle seems to have improved, and his near-perfect shooting inside 3 (8/10) reflected that.
