lol Pitt shutout seattle without Hampton or Polamalu, two fo our best defenders, so I doubt Seymore being back would make the defense better than pitts, but the pats dont really need that great of a defense right now at least.
You have a good defense but lets not get carried away. Your Defense held the Charlie Frye led Browns to 7 points, So I can't give your team much credit for holding the 4th highest scoring team to 7 points.
The Steelers played the following offenses:
Bills ranked 30th in scoring
49ers ranked 31st in scoring (and they scored above their average)
Cardinals 13th ranked Cardinals (scored 7 below their season average, ST's TD)
Seahawks 25th ranked in scoring (shutout good job)
So the vaunted defense has played three of the worst offenses in the league (I count the Frye led Browns in that category). Lost to the best offense they played and shut out the 25th ranked offense.
While the Patriots have faced;
24th ranked Jets (they scored their season average)
11th ranked Chargers (they scored 8 points below their average)
30th ranked Bills
7th ranked Bengals (they scored 12 points below their average)
4th ranked Browns (they scored 11 points below their average)
2nd ranked Cowboys (held them 14 points below their average, Defensive TD)
I think that speaks for itself. You have a very good defense, but you have played horrible offenses and your defense didn't do enough to win against the best offensive team you faced. You need to consider all of these things before you declare that your team has a better defense.
Simple things like the Pats opponents average 23.4 ppg and the Steelers have averaged 18.4 (with the current Browns offense) take out the Browns and it falls to 16.05.
