Football-wise, the women issue is irrelevant (not saying it is irrelevant in the greater societal sphere - - I just don't think for the NFL and the Patriots it should be relevant - - that's why we have a court system).
What completely disqualified AB in my mind was hos treatment of the Steelers organization on several occasions, but moreover the treatment of the Raiders, particularly Gruden and Mayock this year. That was completely not ok for any player to pull those stunts and do what he did to them. To me, he quit the NFL the moment he pulled that ****. Are there going to be divas in the future who basically hold their breath and threatened GM's whenever they all of a sudden decide they don't like the shopping malls in their location?
So I was against this guy before the Pats picked him up. I couldn't care less about the lawsuit and the articles when they came out. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty and he deserved his day in court regarding that. The moment AS A PATRIOT he group-texted that artist was the moment he was out, and Patriots-wise, rightfully so. Not for anything else, but for what he pulled AFTER he became a Patriot.
Everyone here arguing on his behalf regarding the lawsuit, etc. is "strawmanning" away the actual reason the Pats cut him. It wasn't for the allegations. It was for the actual action of group texting a few days after the Miami game.
