Gronk?

The trade deadline is the deadline to come back without clearing waivers. Now, the Patriots may be able to work out a deal with the #1 waiver wire team (which I believe is and will continue to be the Arizona Cardinals) to, for example, claim Gronk via waivers and get a 7th round pick in a trade with the Patriots. But you never know if something like that will happen.
Can you cite a source regarding clearing waivers for those classified as reserve/retired? There are tons of sources that say all players cut after the trade deadline must go through waivers, but nothing about those on the reserve/retirement list that I can find, including the NFL Operations website.

Regards,
Chris

Anyway Gronk can just be on our "Virtual Bench" or something.. like those sub-contractors our Corps never call in unless we don't have that skill set?

Is that against the 53 man roster rules, and cap, etc?

Come on man!

He should be letting AB come back.

Completely agree. But this is indicative.

Kraft would only be saying this if he felt the offense needed some more weapons. Otherwise why bother saying this. Hopefully it leads to AB being brought back.

Saw Gronk on halftime show he did not look like a man ready to return to football anytime soon.

Gronk's 2019 salary is $9 Million plus incentives. Even if he doesn't meet the incentives, could the Patriots bring him back with their cap situation?

Only 3 more games until Gronk comes back - who else is stoked?

certainly not as a blocker, which is what we badly need

maybe im just not seeing/hearing it, but when AB was on the Patriots, everyone (media) was reporting his every move...now, i dont hear anything about him or his various lawsuits and troubles.

Media knew Patriots would embarrass the rest of the NFL with AB. it was an agenda.

Honestly, I think it'll take a horrific showing from the offense or even a loss. It's clear that TB12 is still in pout-mode. He, moreso than BB, could convince Kraft (IMO)
