Was Brady under heavy pressure that game or did they just miss opportunities and our defense could not get off the field? To be fair this is also how to beat Brady as well, and how the Pats lost twice to the Giants....

Yes, that's the way to beat Brady or any great passing QB.Rush only 4 and still get pressure, play tight man with 7 defenders covering the field. Happened both games. If that's the way to play Mahomes, basically it's saying the only way to beat him is play unbelievable defense.

Hurt him, run for 200 yards, and catch him with three of his top four skill position players out? Have fun replicating that.
If the Patriots win again against the Chiefs, it's because they have the best defense in the league (and shaping up to be one of the best in history) with a good offense helmed by a quarterback who can rise to any occasion. That isn't a goddamn blueprint, it's the entire thing Belichick built towards over the last year because he knows Mahomes is special and the Chiefs are who he must shape a team to beat, like the Manning Colts of old.
so basically you have to play incredible well to beat really, really good QBs.
Nothing new.
It's not a magical system or something by Belichick. You need to have really good football players and lots of them to give a QB like Mahomes fits.
I think the key to that game was Belichick taking the Chiefs out of their rhythm just long enough to outgun the Chiefs in the end. 0 points in the 1st half is why the Patriots won that game, because Mahomes was unstoppable in the 2nd half. Chiefs adjusted to unique looks from the Pats, but it was too late. I wouldn't say it was a defensive masterpiece at all. It was just enough to get the win. Brady and the offense won that game.
Who are the great football players on the Colts defense right now? Autry's pretty good, Houston's good, they've got some talent on the secondary, and they've got a whole mess of rookies and second year players with potential, but in terms of dominant talent in its prime right now, I'm not seeing it.so basically you have to play incredible well to beat really, really good QBs.

The Colts got a bunch of rookies, second year guys and replacements to execute a good gameplan nearly flawlessly against a great QB. That's impressive.
allowing 31 points in one half is actually pretty incompetent.
The Colts started a practice squad for their secondary. It's not as simple as you're making it.Colts played well but nothing fancy really.
Held up well in man coverage against a hobbled Mahomes, a OL that is a mess missing 2 starters, missing Watkins and Hill
Listening to this forum neither Manning nor Mahomes can read a defense?Hurt him, run for 200 yards, and catch him with three of his top four skill position players out? Have fun replicating that.

The Pats barely made it to overtime and the Lions lost. The blueprint might need a little refining.

Blueprint sounds silly but it's absolutely worth noting what your opponents might struggle w. Esp if you see it in other games.
People get too carried away thinking this is why win. Might allow you a little flexibility you might not normally have.
Another thing worth is that it's not just Mahomes that may "struggle" w a certain look but also his OL/weapons etc.
