I get where TB12 is coming from but I think it's too hard to enforce something like that. What exactly makes a slide "late" to one official vs another? When the league starts overthinking things like this they generally mess it up. See Rule, Tuck
I'm 100% in favor of a flag for QB's faking going out of bounds making defenders ease up so they can steal more yards. And make that challengeable. Kermit Mahomes does this all the time.
Sorry, I disagree. In nearly every case, (IMO), the DB's can minimize the hit when the QB slides late. In my cases the DB can anticipate the slide. NFL goes out of its way to protect the QB and needs to tell the DB's to smarten up.
