This Chiefs team is garbage

No doubt you win and lose championships in the trenches...I don't think there is much the Pats can do in this area right now, with the exception of coaching/playing better.
Trent Williams.

I've been on this board A LOT longer than you have, so don't tell me about cheering for this team. And you can't even get your meme right as it only has 5 Lombardis.

Take it easy there, squirt. Don't take your anger out on mom's keyboard.

Also, excuse my sig, but really, who can keep track of the bazillion Lombardi trophies that Patriots have won over the years?

Well, for starters, someone with the name StairwaytoSeven should know that the team only has 6 Lombardis...but maybe that's overestimating you.

The kc defense has some serious issues stopping the run.

Mahomes is holding the ball extra long this season.

Unless we have injuries or turnovers, they are not winning this year against us.

Eh, he's going to cost a lot. Also, where do you put Wynn when he comes back?

If you want to make the case Williams salary or price tag would be prohibitive that would be one thing but asking where would they put Wynn actually makes the case for Williams. Williams at LT, Wynn LG, Thuney C, Mason RG, Cannon RT sounds pretty damn good to me, bet it would sound pretty good to Brady & the RB's too.

who the fack is THAT space alien?

Trent Williams.

Okay. So obviously, Williams would be a huge asset to this team. There is absolutely no denying that. And any attempt to trivialize his impact is a fools errand, a waste of time, and a terrible argument.

But I seriously have no idea how you plan on making room for him. The Patriots have nothing to offer someone of his caliber, other than a shot. And while people take discounts for that shot, it would be an INSANE discount given his worth. Unprecedented. Any releases we'd have to make would remove components of this team that make it so good.

Please dismantle my belief as much as you can. Be easy on me, but rip my post to shreds, because damnit I want to be a believer as well.

Edit: Forgot to include - in tearing me apart, please explain how we actually convince Washington to trade him. They have been blisteringly stubborn in this, as well.

He's becoming cheaper by the week...and I believe you mean if Wynn comes back, not when.

Unfortunately that was my first thought too, "if" he comes back is the right word. I hope like hell TBrady is right and it simply is "when" he comes back this season, but we've been down this road waiting for that player we really could use to come off IR, only to find it was wishful thinking.

I don't disagree with your diagnosis right now, however, it's week 5 and what a team is or is not is still weeks away from being defined. But if KC's D doesn't improve they look more like certain Patriot teams of the past; An O with high capability and a D that is week to week in terms of its performance. And Reid and Mahomes, IMHO, don't quite have the magic of another Coach-QB tandem I could mention that would often find a way past this complimentary imbalance .

Great game!!! Just finished watching and here are some thoughts.

The Indy defense did a fine job, and they forced turnovers and got some key sacks. It didn’t look particularly exotic - mostly man coverage, with pressure coming without blitzing.

The Chiefs offense is still a force, but their offensive line has big problems - specifically with pass protection. Mahomes got mauled on a few plays, but it could have been a LOT worse if he weren’t so elusive in the pocket.

That Chiefs Defense is downright pathetic. They just can’t stop the run to save their lives. The Indy ground game completely had their way with them - running it down their throats. Brisette didn’t really need to pass the ball, but when he did, the Chiefs coverage routinely got called for flagrant PI’s. They are a “handsy” and undisciplined secondary.

What really won the game was the time of possession. With almost a 2 to 1 differential, the Chiefs offense had no rhthem and Indy could just chip away at an exhausted and inept K.C. defense while Mahomes stood on the sidelines on his gimpy leg.

Most aren't very smart.

last post on that thread currently is hoping brady dies horribly....so....theres that... (page 54 i think)

KC plays Houston, @Denver, GB, MN, @Tenn, @LaC, @NE, @Chi, LaC

all these teams can run down there throat and keep up with there offense while playing good defense. KC won’t have home field vs us in the playoffs. If both teams are somewhat healthy KC stand no chance in Foxborough vs our defense and a Brady lead offense

This looks a lot like 10-6, to me.

They had a bad game but I’m not ready to call them garbage. They will probably wind up 13-3 or 14-2
