I'd be surprised if they would resign Obi to the active roster. If he went unclaimed through waivers he can be signed to the PS (and activated in case of emergency at any point). What is the point putting him on the active roster under those circumstances ?
Obi to PS and Bodine to active even better

More snaps for Meyers is not a bad thing.

The question will Meyers be active with AB now in the equation?? I think they will only dress 5 counting the Gunner.

Not trying to be negative. But this move irks me. Why not see what this guy can do in this offense. He obviously showed that he was healthy as far as his Achilles, looked really good. He’s also insurance as far as Gordon & Brown are concerned. If either act up, they are gone. Both could be gone by mid season if they don’t behave.

Could’ve also played more of a Gronk role, as far as his size. My complaint about this is, why now ? Couldn’t they have played him, see if he shined, and then, come trade deadline, get more for him. I really don’t like this move. On paper, great receiving corps, but in reality, some major question marks as far as reliability with Brown & Gordon off the field.

Darnitt has another receiver to throw in the dirt towards...

I was actually imagining him as our Aaron Hernandez type this year.

But... if it weren't for Harry coming back eventually, this would probably annoy me greatly.

I'd be like, you're an AB or JG blow up away from relying on Jakobi Meyers.

Because he was on the end of the depth chart behind Meyers, working his way back from a hamstring injury and it saved the team capspace after they had to essentially borrow against next year to pay for Brown.

The year is 2019 and not 2013.

Edelman, Gordon, Brown, Dorsett, Harry, Meyers, Gunner...and Slater

This screams another trade even before Harry comes back.

I think Gunner's solid performance as a punt returner was the final straw in making DT totally expendable as the WR7.

And his kick coverage! He was first guy to the ball carrier on a couple of kicks.

Why. The. Hell . Are. We. Making. Trades. With. Them

Because they are irrelevant and a threat to no one.

This is the biggest insult, finally. Even BB has no feelings towards them now. They can no longer even muster anger in BB. THAT is how far they have fallen.

.

We traded for an old wide receiver ...

"We traded for an old receiver still coming off a devastating injury who has lost a step, can't handle contact and brings false intel from the Patriots which none of our coaches will understand anyway."

?????

Right now you have 5 WR and Gunner and Slater as ST players. This is perfectly fine depth. Why would you trade away anyone before Harry is back ?

I get it, but don't like the where and when.

Goodbye sweet prince.

I figured DT was the one getting cut for AB anyway, so no big deal in my eyes.
