Was the banner reveal ceremony longer than they broadcasted nationally? Here it was just an announcer introducing Gronk on a lit up floor, the banner drops and then a handful of old Patriots walk off with trophies in their hands and that was it. In 2017 I seem to remember a longer show, Kraft having some words, and other stuff.

And the more professional version:

Apologies if this has been discussed already, but Burkehead played well against the Steelers making some good runs and finding holes where Sony did not. I was one who favoured trading Burkehead pre season ! Mind you still early.
.

I wanted him traded too. Personally I have no idea where that version of Burkhead came from last night. In the preseason he looked slow. Maybe he was intentionally holding back the whole time? If he keeps this up it's hard to argue for trading him. As much as I like Harris I would rather go with the experience Burkhead has until he shows signs of wear.

From my POV the issue with Burkhead usually is not what he brings to the table but his availability.

Zolak started early it seems. I hope they keep that camera around through the year.

What a performance...what a team...what a win..
I only hope that Cannon will be back sooner then later...

1-0 Go Pats

That's a football/hockey player. A basketball player would have required a wheelchair ride off the court and down to the locker room. He'd have to get a mask, and he might miss a couple of games. A baseball player would have ended up on the 60 day DL (old rules).

The Steelers offense had two settings, "dink and dunk times infinity" and "blindly lob deep balls somewhere out there" and neither one worked. It was impressively futile but in completely opposite directions.

This is the first time in a long while that I thought the Patriots held a raw talent advantage over the Steelers.

Regardless of what we think about them personally, LeVeon and AB were top 5 talents at the their position, as was the O-line and QB.

With the loss of major skills position talent, Fat Ben looks old, disinterested and well.....fat.

Tomlin will be heavily exposed as a fraud this year with less top end talent to bail him out,

Satisfying.

If Meyers could make it to the PS, that would solve everything. It would be ideal. We could still have him beyond 2019 and he could be actively developing the entire time. After all, he’s not going to be active once Brown or DT return, so it’s not like he’s going to be contributing much in 2019 barring major, multiple injuries.

The million dollar question is whether or not they could get him through to the PS.
Even if he makes it there can't a team just snatch him up at any time?

Yeah, if they offer more money and the Pats don’t increase their salary to at least get in the ballpark. One thing to remember is that any team stealing a player from our PS has to have them on the active roster for at least 3 weeks, if I’m not mistaken. That would prevent another squad from making a PS to PS type of move.

Finally cut a big receiver.

Legit question: Is there any competition out there for us? Baltimore looks interesting, but they don't have anyone left from the rivalry era.

I can't wait until Brady and co. start smacking those Philly *****es around.

I'd like to see how that depleted defense does against White, Michel, Gordon, Dorsett and Edelman.

So adding a great receiver won’t help other wrs get open. Got it.

Could you show me where I said that? No. You can't because it didn't happen. How about you focus on what WAS said instead of making things up? Or is that the only way you can offer up a rebuttal? By lying?
