Was Isaiah Wynn good? Other than a penalty I don't remember if he played well or not.

When it comes to O-line play if you don’t hear the name mentioned it’s normally a good sign. He was great I thought, looked solid and comfortable in the pass and run game and his technique is unbelievable. He’s a stud. Had maybe one bad play but apart from that was solid.

Positives from the game:

- loved that tricky catch Meyers made early doors. Encouraging signs;
- Isiah Wynn. A monster;
- Josh Gordon will be giving defensive coaches nightmares;
- the Tomlin Face in full effect. A wondrous sight.

Negatives:

- Sony Michel doing my fantasy team no favours;
- the offence not giving AB an obvious gap to fill (talk about first world problems?)

Let’s not go overboard after one game, though - let’s at least wait a few weeks to see if the Steelers really stink? Tomlin is on borrowed time surely...

Oh, and what’s the line for next week? NE by 20?

Watched the whole game from the UK.. let’s say it was worth staying up for!

I thought we were excellent. Our defence looks formidable. It looks hard to run the ball against us, which is a great sign as it’ll push teams to throw against arguably the best secondary in the league.

J.Jones looked unbelievable in coverage all night, he could be one of the leading slot guys in the league this year.

WRs were exceptional and all routes looked good as well. Adding AB will cause a lot of headaches in the next few weeks.

Izzo played well and done his job when he was asked to.

I hope Cannon is okay and it’s nothing to serious..

They've got to get Sony catching passes. Squealers keyed on him all night. Too predictable

You realize you won't get one right? We'll be lucky to hear anything before the midweek injury report, and then it'll just say 'Cannon - Shoulder, limited'
I'll take limited over IR. All I want is the healthiest possible roster come January

Steelers are a solid team (w Ben decline a possible Q). This game was about Patriots dominance and the league has every reason to be worried. On D it was expected. O was a bit of surprise due to off offseason of some key pieces (Jules, Gordon) that just hit the ground running - and outstanding O-line that had to overcome a lot in the offseason as well.

The only thing that could shatter the dominance of this team over 90% of the league is the lack of depth at O-line. It didn't look pretty when Cannon went out. While signing AB was about good opportunity . using big chunk of cap on a solid OL starter would make much more sense of course - unfortunately no one seem to be available. The problem now is that even if it becomes available Pats will have little cap to play with.. All vets salaries are guaranteed as from yesterday.

Meyers is cheap and one of the few signed on beyond next year. He could grow into what Dorsett is now at a lower price point. He has done too much at this point to be a PS option.
If Meyers could make it to the PS, that would solve everything. It would be ideal. We could still have him beyond 2019 and he could be actively developing the entire time. After all, he’s not going to be active once Brown or DT return, so it’s not like he’s going to be contributing much in 2019 barring major, multiple injuries.

The million dollar question is whether or not they could get him through to the PS.

How many snaps do you see DT getting on average per game with Edelman, Gordon, AB ahead of him ? And competing with Dorsett.

I think if either Dorsett or Thomas can be traded to someone in what would essentially be a salary dump to avoid the termination pay situation this is what will happen.

They have been doing it in practice. I remember people commenting on how the offense looked stagnant early in camp and I thought well yeah this defense is really good and has the potential to be the best in the league.

In my TC observations thread, from long ago, I called ******** on that (offense looking stagnant) and said this was an elite, top 2-3 defense. I got into a twitter spat with Bedard when he suggested that Brady was lackluster in his performances.

Wynn is a Win as advertised and more. A power dancer - rare breed of quickness, nimbleness, strength and power - combined with IQ and focus. Just has to stay healthy.

Once he has his hands on you it is over.

Those BSJ subs won't sell themselves without some controversy.

Contrast : when White was running he found room because he wasn’t predictable.

I get your overall point but this might have been schemed like that exactly to sell play action more effectively. The flipside of Michel being so "predictable" so far is that LBs are more likely to get sucked up to the LOS.

Yes but Sony rushing for .9 a carry is awful.
