Who's out/extended/sacrificed to fit AB's contract?

If Ebner is cut, can't he sign somewhere else and still collect his patriot salary?
I'd think not. Maybe I didn't articulate it well. My thought was that Ebner be cut and stick around. He'd still be paid, but now a part of the "shadow roster" much like DT was and Bodine currently is.

It will be interesting to see if Bodine is resigned as soon as this week. Seems like a LOT of roster movement for so early in the season. So many questions.

Obi is good for one thing and that "nothing" he brings nothing to the current roster that would be missed.

On a lot of rosters I'd say otherwise, but I do keep coming back to the fact that he's the one player on the roster since the start if TC who, to my eyes, hasn't done anything much to earn his spot.

Tons of movement, but really just two questions IMO. It boils down to too many good WRs, not enough good (and healthy) OLs.

2 OLs on IR, 1 on NFI, 2 retired, and now another injury. That's essentially an entire line's worth of missing pieces.

I would think that a 26 year old who plays as well as Dorsett in our system is what we would be looking for in a WR. I would sign him to a 5 year contract if we could, although a 3 year extension seems more likely.

To be blunt, I prefer Dorsett to Meyers. The ONLY issue with Dorsett is that he has not yet been extended, and is on a one year contract.

Your point?

Lots of other mood-related disorders and personality disorders are described by those same symptoms you listed.

All of these things fall within a spectrum and there’s a lot of overlap within clinical diagnoses, natural fluctuations, and so forth.

We all have the right to speculate but none of us can accurately and responsibly say Brown “no doubt is bipolar”.
O.K. In my opinion.

This is where our evaluations of Dorsett differ and I know I'm in the minority here.

I'd assume (which means I am likely wrong :)) it'll be player that can be released with as little if no cap ramification, one whose loss will be least impactful, who can most likely make it through waivers and to end up on the practice squad. one who then can be brought back to the 53 when the natural, and unfortunate, injury attrition takes its toll as the season progresses. Ummm, anyone out there that fits this description? :)

DT
Obi
Gunner
Ebner

These are the guys I see as possible contenders to be the odd man out in the AB saga. Here's what I'd do and why at 4pm

a. I release Lance Kendrick and go with Lacosse and Izzo at TE for the near future.

b. I release Ebner and replace him with Brown. Since the first game has passed, Ebner's contract was guaranteed. Releasing him now doesn't affect his financial situation for this season. He doesn't hit waivers, and I don't see much of a market for him around the league. So essentially he sits home collects his cash and waits for the next injury that opens up the roster spot he needs to rejoin the team.

c. You can use the exact same strategy with DT if you want.

d. Gunner made a good case for keeping him as a PR, KR, and KCoverage guy. Since he's a WR, gunner would seem like the most likely cut for AB. I'm not sure its the case now. You'd HAVE to think someone would grab him after last night's performance.

e. You know what I think about Obi. Hard to make a case for keeping him, except that he's injured and I'm an optimist. We shall see

Flores would love to get s guy like Ebner. I would cut Bolden, RB is really deep even without him, and they need to keep extra WR’s in case either Brown or Gordon implode.

Chung May well end up suspended, they clearly think Obi has talent, and I’m betting that the length he brings could be a real asset down the road.

I don’t envy BB’s need to make a decision here. I can’t remember a time where we have this much combined health, depth and talent at WR.

I’m my opinion it’d be Gunner or DT on the way out and I’d lean towards keeping Gunner with N’keal eligible to come back.

There you go.

Surprised about Kendricks as he would not have counted against the 53 man roster for this week.

Sure but he would have to want to go! Here are his choices. A. Move his family down to Miami in the middle of the season to play special teams for a dumpster fire of a team for the same money he'd get here for doing nothing but staying in shape. or B. Stay here, get paid, stay in shape and wait for a call.

Brian may WANT Nate, but given the choices, why would Nate go?

I find the willingness to risk losing Obi very interesting. Also, for those who were hoping Thomas would be cut, you'll have to keep hoping and waiting.

Obi Melifonwu waived made the most sense.

one for two. Now its just a matter of who Obi goes to. Now I have to hope that he clears waivers and comes back to the PS, but I find that unlikely unless the injury is worst than we figured.
