Who's out/extended/sacrificed to fit AB's contract?

So, you do want to use a roster spot on a backup punt returner. I can also see the value in a DB/STer like Obi, in a 2nd TE, in a 3rd TE, in another OL or two.
Gunner is the primary PR.

I don't see them keeping 3TEs.

I see Obi and Nate as redundant on ST and I see JoJuan ahead of Obi in the D.

Thomas

The situation has obviously changed since Thomas was brought BACK to NE. That should tell you something right there that NE was not willing to risk Gunner or Meyers but they did expose Thomas.

They didn't expose Thomas. The lack of him being exposed was, in fact, the whole point of him being that last cut.

Gunner needs to PR. Unless BB throws JE back there which if they lost AB and Josh I'd prefer he stick to WR only
Maybe it will be Brown returning punts. He might even be better than Edelman.

I didn’t notice it last night, but I heard Gunner was playing in kick coverage and was getting down the field fast. I doubt he’s in any danger of getting cut.

Correct. He was on K coverage

Slater?

Yeah I been thinking it's Obi

When do we find out ? 4pm EST ?

If BB wants to keep Obi then it's Nate who is traded for a pick.

...which would make me very upset.

Yep. Sometimes a little after.

I bet they are trying to make a trade for a pick. Exhaust that option then release player X.

I suspect Kendricks already called for a Uber to TF Green

You might not want to go into the Dorsett threat if you don't want to get upset today

Must say I don't really get the Brown move. As great as he is (assuming he's on his meds) I don't think he adds all that much value because of what's already on this year's roster and given the system. He could have been a much better difference maker on lots of other teams. Of course I'm interested to see how it all works out.

If Gordon loses eligibility, you will see a VERY different offense. Brown takes away that risk, along with adding to an already potent offense. I don't see how having an all-pro WR can possibly be a bad thing here.

If the AB contract has been signed and delivered, we will find out after 4. I would note that it was after 6 when we found out about the "final" 53.

Hold on..

Aside from believing hes limited I have zero problem with Dorsett. I like him. I just want younger players (or players with the first name Antonio) with more upside, more playmaking ability play more than him.

Granted 95yds and 2TDs is by definition playmaking....

The Pats cut Thomas

The Pats did not cut Gunner or Meyers.

After Harry landed on IR the Pats brought Thomas back.

Thomas is the pawn in the roster game. Simple enough to see.

Well, they told Gunner he was going to be cut but changed direction.

I think last night's performance saved Gunner from another slashing.

Thomas didn't have to go through waivers, Gunner and Meyers did.

Both would have been claimed, that's why they didn't get released.
