What’s strange about Bolden’s 1 offensive snap was that it came in the first series, and then he was never seen again. Maybe White and Soney had some bad chipotle for lunch and needed a few more minutes to clean the pipes?

maybe Sony was under the weather?

Looking at the snap counts, trying to figure out who's not listed. No LaCosse, and even with Van Noy out, no Roberts?

Steelers aren't a run heavy team and they were down quickly so I figure that's the reason.

Yeah, I think people who are wondering about Roberts might want to take a look at Conner's numbers since the Carolina game last season.

Chiefs Planet has a game thread from last night and it did not disappoint. :D

Comedy gold!

I went back and forth but ended up on the keep him train. As for why I gave him a B i thought I made that clear. While he had a good game he didn't face the competition Gordon/Edelman did who had to make hard contest catches. They were not difficult plays for the most part.

Dorsett finished 4/4 for 95 yards and 2 TD with a long of 58. Let's look those catches a bit.

1st quarter 5:58 3rd and 5 @NE 40 - 8 yard catch - A nicely designed play. WIDE OPEN.

2nd quarter 3:49 1st and 10 @ Pitt 25 - 25 yard TD catch - I'm 99% sure his man gave up the top and inside a tad; expecting safety help over the top. The Edmunds took a REALLY bad angle and/or was WAY late. I can't tell who the CB was. It was a good play, not great.

2nd quarter 0:54 1 and 10 @ Pitt 27 - 4 yard catch - Honestly I don't remember this play all that well and couldn't find it. If anyone else can I'd love to see it. I THINK it was fairly routine going from memory but could be wrong.

3rd quarter 8:05 3rd and 10 @ NE 42 - 58 yard TD catch. - This was a blown play and he was WIDE OPEN.

It was a good night but let's not pretend he did anything special either.

If he's consistently getting wide open and punishing defensive mistakes to the tune of 25-50 yard touchdowns, how is not 'anything special'? Most long touchdowns are the result of someone ****ing up, the fact that turned them into touchdowns still matters a lot. Being fast is a skill, and so is being surehanded.

And FWIW, I'm not a huge Dorsett fan either. I think he's generally overmatched as a starting receiver, but as a WR3-4 as he now is he's great.

Let's talk Mike Tomlin for a moment. Aside from the rather shocking FG from the 1 yard line, down 20 points, there was the halftime comment as relayed by the sideline reporter. Asked about adjustments for the second half, Tomlin rejected the whole idea, saying "it's not the scheme, it's the quality of execution."

My jaw dropped. Down 20 at the half, and no adjustments planned? No accountability? Just declaring yourself perfect and blaming your players? o_Oo_Oo_O
I bet Michael "Hawt Take" Lombardi is still going to call Tomlin a good coach.

Really, what did it say. Now thqat you posted that iquiring minds want to know what was posted.

Really, what did it say.
The usual garbage.

*****ing about all the calls go our way.

*****ing about cheating.

*****ing about pick plays.

yesterday was the best example that coverage >>> pass rush. We didn't even get pressure but defense still dominated. Ben had nobody to throw to.

I don't think we're going to play many (if any) teams this season with a better OL.

That Steelers OL is stout and really great across the board.

If that's the toughest pass-blocking OL we face this season (which I suspect it will be), then the pass-rush will be just fine.

Thing is on the only drive the defense allowed points, Simon had a pick and dropped it and Wise forced Roethlisberger to fumble. So easily could have been a shutout.

Calhoun played much more than I thought he would. Thought he was on bubble, despite solid camp. Glad to be wrong.

JC has fewer snaps than I’d have projected. For some reason, I thought JC was #2, but last night it was JMaC.

The Pats looked freakin amazing last night.

The thought of adding AB to this team should make everyone sick.

That includes Pats fans though. I mean if AB played last night, would they have beat Pitt any worse? Doubt it, but there is the real chance AB messes up that chemistry.

Pats should trade AB for some draft picks.
You're right. Let's trade AB to Detroit for Hochensen and Ragnow.

The thing about Dorsett is that, he was this open on numerous ocassions last year and Brady was not finding him. I think Tomlin and Butler probably fell for that and their guys did not give too much attention to Dorsett because they watched film and Brady hardly looked his way. I wondered how Dorsett felt last year, he kept quiet, worked hard and was somehow rewarded during the playoffs.

It will probably change depending on matchup and who practices better.

Steeler defensive genius. Let's forget about a guy Brady love who has 4.3 speed.
