This is the team that traded for Haynesworth. This is the team that gave Aaron Hernandez a big money second contract.

We, as the fan base of that same team, never get to say that "there's no way this team would take ......" about any player who has talent. The only possible exception might be a guy with a significant domestic violence issue.
Talk about low hanging fruit. Haynesworth was a shot that failed. He was never a problem with the Pats, just no longer the great football player he was, and he was quickly replaced, gone, and forgotten.

And the Hernandez comment was just gratuitous. When Herrandez was given that contract, besides playing well, he had never missed a meeting, practice, or philanthropic event in his time with the Pats. In fact that held true right up until the time he was arrested. Really a lazy gibe by you....and inaccurate if used to point out Brown comparisons.

Ok we get it so Hernandez's advanced CTE symptoms were starting to show. I am glad to know that that now means the team doesn't care about signing crazy players. He was already on the team. They took a chance thinking they could help him. They didn't. They're not gonna go and stick their necks out for another nut

I would take the chance as I think it’s worth the risk. That being said I think there’s just as big a chance in blows up in the Patriots face as well.
Right. Exactly.

He is not only not getting traded, he is playing Monday. No apology can keep a player who has done what he has done in the team. But the feckless Raiders...lol. Clowns. Chucky the clown.

This ought to last about a week until the next MeMeMe episode.

For what he did for that franchise, he deserved better than a voice mail telling him he was cut.....
Bradshaw is on the outs with the Steelers too.

They let Mike Webster sleep in his car after he sacrificed his steroid infused body for the franchise.

AB is an axxhole.

Pittsburgh paid him what he wanted and he crapped on the team by fighting with Ben because JuJu was putting up big numbers too.

Now, the new season has not even started and AB is up to his horse$hit again. After Oakland paid him the money.

I know it's pretty well documented by this point that he's always been an ass, but he has straight up lost it these past few months. I legitimately think he is having mental problems. One too many concussions. It's painful to watch.

Reminds me of that receiver... Oh Gosh, what was his name.. Went to the Cowboys his rookie year, was expected to do alright in the NFL. Got a concussion/had a history of them in college, and legitimately went on to go and get charged for 3 separate crimes in one day, got arrested a ****load after that, and was out of the NFL in no time. His father said "I legitimately do not know who my son is anymore."

As much of an ass AB is being, I hope it's not that. I'd rather him just be an ass than lose his mind. Stuff sucks to see.

If its dirt cheap, maybe. His value right now couldn’t get any lower so if there’s little to no risk in signing him I wouldn’t rule it out.

??? Hernandez got into tons of legal issues at Florida. The guy was pretty much banned from every single bar in Gainesville for fighting. The Pats still drafted him and gave him a second contracts.

AND in the time he was with the Pats he didn't show any of that college behavior that was publicly known. Unless of course you knew he was murdering people prior to his arrest that off season?

He tried to come to blows with his teammates and reportedly pulling his junk out to them. That’s the definition of showing that college behavior.

Those are reports that came out AFTER it all went down. Find me something that was said BEFORE.

In fact don't bother this is a stupid dialogue anyway. But I compliment you on your excellent 20-20 hindsight. It is far better than your poor sense of humor

That’s 20-20 hindsight by us, the fans. Not the team.

It’s clear that the Pats knew about this stuff earlier. Even Tebow talked to Brady about it. It doesn’t make the Pats responsible for what happened but at the very least they turned a blind eye to it because he was an excellent player. If he was mediocre he would have been cut.

Sad stuff.

Bb mantra number 1 - “i’m just doing what’s in the best interest of the team!”

Whoever has number 84 on our team should expect brown to come by soon and offer some serious cash for the relinquishment of that number.

Hello Antonio, meet the patriots way! Oh by the way, we will be increasing your meds ten fold! Hope you like winning in structured and well organized environment, more than you like running your racist mouth!

Ps: all graduates from central Michigan should be required to wear paper bags in their heads and burn their diplomas, clearly mr. brown has proven those diplomas are not worth the paper they are written on!

Maybe the examples he used were slightly off, but his point stands. We traded for chronic drug user Josh Gordon, traded for Randy Moss a locker room cancer in Oakland whom quit on the team, we traded for wife beater Corey Dillon whom beat his wife's face into a bloody mess, we re-signed donte stallworth after he was charged with manslaughter.
