I like Gunner’s intensity and the fact that he can return punts, but I don’t like trading Crossen; I thought he’d be a major player on STs and provide quality depth in the secondary.

Patriots are currently 6 deep at CB.
Gilmore, Jackson, J. Mac, J. Jones, JJ Williams, and Webster.

They also have DMac they can use in an emergency. And don't forget that Edelman has seen NFL time (however brief) at CB and that Gunner was an D2 All American at CB..

With Harry, Edelman, Gordon and Thomas along with STers who we have as WR back ups like Gunner he would be a healthy scratch nearly every game. We can't that many WRs. Meyers and Dorsett don't really play STs (not in a way that matters). So if we keep Gunner one has to go.

We’ll see if he sticks into next week but as of now one of the biggest underdogs to make the team. He wasn’t in any draft publication I could find. The last man signed to the 90 man roster in late May. Pats version of Invincible lol.

I think regardless of what happens on Monday and thereafter now, he's playing for a LOT more than "3 hots and a cot". Gunner just was guaranteed over a half MILLION dollars.
