Patriots Player Departure Patriots Cuts

Lol funny we go from wanting to get rid of him to happy to bring him back.

I didn't want to get rid of him - Dolphins paid him a lot of money for his role.

Considering that 9 OL on the 53 man roster is their standard, not sure this would be a surprise, honestly..
I agree, but it seemed like this entire preseason in every post or article about projected 53 had us going with 8. In fact you had put 9 guys on your 53 man project you would have invited massive ridicule from the masses and I don't recall seeing a roster projection that had on the OL

Here comes Dwayne Allen?

Just got released.
How much would it take to get Allen back? He has $1.3 million guaranteed from Miami (presumably with offset language), so how much more would a team need to pay to get him to sign?

3 hots and a cot

I bet Patricia or Flores claims Gunner and I will be sick.
We can’t sweat these players leaving. He is not even in our top 50 ! Imagine.

Let it go, let it go...

Hopefully not a reverse Danny Woodhead type situation

How many SBs did Woodhead win after he left ? How many did NE win after he left ?

Again, let it go...

Chargers Woody was a beast tho for the six games he’d play before tearing his ACL.

I think 5 of the cuts Will be very difficult.

Hopefully not a reverse Danny Woodhead type situation
He's a good PROSPECT, but he's not NFL ready for any other position other than a returner. These days very few teams have roster spaces available for such one dimensional players. That being said, if he DID remain on our PS for the season and improved on his route running skills and got a bit stronger, I think he'd make it as receiver next season. Making a roster as a WR this season is just too much to ask from a kid that was playing CB at Bemidji State last season

BTW- is 4pm on Sunday the time when you can start signing FA's to the PS?

EDIT - I just read at BSJ that teams can start signing players up to the PS at 1pm Sunday

So you think he makes it to our PS

I wonder if the front office see any advantage in releasing players they like close to or on the deadline time.

If you're using SB victories as a decider for who to keep on your 53, you're doing it wrong.

Yes. It's NFL version of musical chairs
