In case any one still had any doubts (based on him putting his house up for sale, etc)...now what uniform he's going to end his career in, who knows - hopefully it'll be with NE. I honestly don't think I've heard Brady himself directly say 45 was his retirement age - this may be the first time he's come out and said it.

Tom Brady still plans to play to 45

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is, at age 42, the oldest non-kicker in the NFL. But he doesn’t think this will be his last season. Or his next to last. Or his next to next to last.

Asked today on WEEI if he still plans to play until he’s 45 years old, Brady answered, “Yeah, I do. I certainly hope so.”

Brady said the only thing that could hold him back is if he’s unable to get his body ready for a season, but he says his offseason routine is keeping him in great shape.

“It’s a big commitment and it’s a lot of time and energy I put into getting ready for practice, post-practice treatment,” Brady said. “The mental part of the game is not the challenge. It’s just really working hard to keep my body in physical preparation, physical shape. I’m not a robot. It’s a lot of time and energy to prepare myself and my body to play. I love doing that, and I think that’s why I’ve been very fortunate to play as long as I have.”

Brady, who said no one should read anything into the fact that he and his wife are selling their New England house, said that when he does retire, he may get into the real estate market.

“Maybe I’ll be an architect or designer because I love building houses,” Brady said.

But that post-football career is years away.

I swear to god if he ends up finishing his career anywhere else it’s due to absolute gross mismanagement on the part of the organization from ownership to the coach.

Some of our posters are as bad as the media. The guys just wants to sell his house and some jump to absurd conclusions.

I think the organization owes it to Brady to keep him around until he can't play anymore. Hopefully, Brady will realize at that point he needs to leave the game and won't go anywhere.

Well duh! What a clickbait article. Not even clicking.

I have to agree with Angelpats. He AINT going anywhere. We will sign him year to year till he is 45. Kraft will not allow him to leave and do you really think Brady would want to play somewhere else at 43 years old. The money means nothing to him. Only his legacy. His legacy stays stronger while playing his whole career for one team. Bobby Orr in Blackhawks or Montana in a Chiefs uniform was a bad look for them. As he said “you shouldn’t read into anything”

I think a lot of us are just worried about life after Brady...we are really in uncharted territory here. Who knows what Brady and Gisele have been discussing behind the scenes?

Real fly in the ointment is Stidham. If BB sees Jimmy 2.0 or even slightly less or even more...he isn’t letting him go this time around. BB always, always sells early rather than late.

If Stidham sucks...Brady has nothing to worry about. Doubt 49ers fans were pissed when Steve Young took over however.

Stidham is here for three more years. Brady wants to play three more years. If during those three years Stidham outperforms Brady. That is a big IF then I am even sure Brady will tap out.

Tom Brady has provided the owner, HC and us fans with a gift that goes well beyond anything we could ever imagine. He earned the right to finish his career on his terms, whatever those may be.

Does the organization owe anything to the 52 other players on the team?

An entire organization is supposed to defer to one player ......indefinitely?
Is this a Disney movie?

The other 52 players did not win 6 super bowls. I would rather TB12 leave happy than BB kicking him out unceremoniously for someone younger, even if it means a few losing seasons with a declining Brady.

At least he gave us a timetable to prepare. In our history with Brady he has never lied to us, whereas every single news outlet has. He wants to play until he’s 45. He’ll likely flip a few more houses in the meantime.

Incredible genetics, work ethic, and technique.

The thought of Brady playing for either one of the teams from the cesspool state of Ohio is more than I can handle.

You are welcome to believe that Tom Brady should be treated precisely the same as the guys who are currently fighting for position #53. Most people will believe differently, and for damn good reason, but you do you.

I cannot see any other scenario than TB12 retiring as a Patriot. This guy has done so many good things for the organisation. Other teams can only dream about it and I do not think any QB will be even close to Brady's achievements, especially Tom is still in the game and I highly believe he will be able to add another trophy.

The local media, aka sportstalk radio, thrives on this sort of crap.. Didja know there are conspiracies about the Patriots everywhere?? Don't worry "Cubby Bertram", "Super Sleuth Felger" , "PI Adam Jones" and the rest are out there leaving no stone unturned seeking the "truth" where no one else has been able to find it.. and even if there is nothing there because of their exhaustive search they will make up something anyways..
