Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

Do you mean Phil Anselmo, the former lead singer of Pantera? Didn't know he was into that, but I was never a Pantera fan anyway.

No...sorry for being so arcane...it's a reference plucked from Nick Danger-Third Eye. I'm a ridiculous Firesign Theater idiot and throw these non sequiturs out from time to time. To wit..

  • I'd like to order a pizza to go with no anchovies.
No anchovies? --- you've got the wrong man. I spell my name "Danger".

The ultimate irony.

Kraft always did everything to support the league, caving in to any and all denigration ["Yes! We totally sucked before I bought the team! Whatever you say! I'm your guy!"] until tiny, too little too late gestures in Defamegate, doing what's best for the 32, to preserve his leading position in the league. He has been arguably more responsible than any other owner in securing the present Goodell-led position of the league, which totally caters to the owners' greed, ignorance and stupidity, and now for his trouble, they can toss him out.

Cannot envision same treatment of Mara or Rooney under same circumstances.
Perhaps THIS is what kraft requested in return for tanking the deflategate fight.
Not that he knew he would get caught paying for a * in a massage parlor but if that’s how he rolls perhaps the quo’s pro quo from roger was having his back if/when he personally gets in hot water.
Or perhaps Goodell and the owners have dirt on him from another instance that they used to get him to capitulate.

Questions:

If I say " I mean ...... something something" can I also say "I median .... something something" ?

Has this thread reached its climax yet?

Is it ironic that a jete fan would take pleasure in a six time championship franchise owner getting a little heat for a rub and tug while their one time exhibition championship franchise owner has been jerking off his fanbase for decades?

Or perhaps Kraft saw the writing on the wall wrt Deflategate and chose (wisely) not to waste his capital with the league fighting a losing battle. You seem to forget Kraft was Patriots owner when Spygate went down. What "capital" he had left with the league had already been severely diminished. The league was not going to back down. He made the right, albeit difficult decision. That seems to be a more logical explanation than the wild conspiracy theories you're floating that Kraft somehow knew years later, he'd find himself in hot water over getting a * at an Asian massage parlor. That's pretty far out there.

I’m not sure how accepting severe penalties for being not guilty without objection could ever be considered the right decision.

And yes he bent over for spy gate too. That’s really part of the issue. Spy gate identified him as an easy mark so when Goodell needed a cause, he went right to NE knowing fans would love it, and kraft would bend over. M
Now we sit and wait until roger needs another target.

Deflategate wasn’t about footballs. Is was about a ray rice, Greg hardy, Adrian Peterson and a commissioner who wanted to find a squeaky clean all American victim to prove he isn’t racist.

I get it. You want to trash Kraft, using tin foil hat conspiracy theories as your evidence, instead of just looking at it for what it is.

Other teams have had their fair share of unfortunate and embarrassing episodes.

Their local media has not trumpeted them as the defining measure of their existence, not to mention piling on the worst, most negative takes and spins and always framing it all in the context of the franchise being a laughingstock throughout its entire history.

The Giants are the ultimate laughingstock. Moreso than the Jets. Yet the media always portrays them as the "model franchise".
Sorry, don't see it. the Jete, that I do.

Not at all.
The thought about this issue wasn’t really serious but the spy gate and deflategate things are reality.

-driving GOAT hometown boy Vince Lombardi to uproot his family and move to the Siberia of football in Wisconsin, because of his Italian extraction

-the real laughingstock of football in the 60's and 70's

-Joe Pisarcik

-arriving in AZ for SB42 dressed in black for the Patriots' "funeral" before the last game of New England's season dedicated to Marquise Hill, who lost his life after saving a young woman's; weeks after playing Redskins honoring Sean Taylor like a head of state

-Plexico Burress

To go along with their resentment and anger at Kraft's financial and on field success, owners must have also blamed the commissioner's office, as Goodell (sent here by Tagliabue) was instrumental in clearing the way for Kraft to build CMGI Field/Gillette and back out of the Hartford deal at the last minute [the agreement prohibited Kraft from negotiating directly with any other city - enter Goodell as the third party].

That keeping the Boston media market increased league profits doesn't matter to them.

As always, they only care about hating the Patriots. Even more than making money.

Chicago Tribune story about the hypocrisy of Roger Goodell and the idiocy of Dehategate...after the giants find balls deflated in game versus the Bears...read it. Perhaps then, any of you that still "believe" that horseshyt the league pulled on OUR team will finally realize you've been living in a dream world...

NFL's damning silence on a new case of underinflated footballs

For a misdemeanor charge, he’d be a fool not to take the deal. No need to drag it out.

Offering PTD (in whatever form) isn't anything of significance, really. It happens all the time. I doubt Kraft accepts this.
