Sure..I mean, if I come across a video that reeks of sex traffic or there is even a suspicion that there’s a minor involved, I will stop watching and move on. It does repulse me. But it’s more like this: let’s say 10% of all porn videos are the result of sex trafficking, and you can’t tell which is which. Would you totally stop watching it for this fact? I think that is a fairly comparable ethical situation to Kraft and how much he should be conscious of sex trafficking/exploitation. Certainly not every establishment like this does involve human slaves...many involve consenting adults.

How the hell would anyone know? In truth, voluntary prostitution is so rampant in many countries there's no reason to force women into unless you're just a sick animal that gets off on that kind of thing. I know the prosecutor's narrative is always that the worker's were "trafficked" but, in reality, this is pretty rare.

It doesn't need to be rare. It needs to be extinct.

But I still gotta laugh at those who think that legalizing prostitution will prevent human trafficking. Once you legitimize demand, supply will be generated in ways that are not necessarily to your preferences -- we're finding that out with the whole cannabis thing. And those who use illegal foreign workers will have a competitive advantage over those who use local labor. If we can't stop human trafficking for construction workers -- and we can't -- why the heck does anyone actually think that legalizing prostitution will do anything but galvanize the existing networks the pimps use to bring in fresh meat?

Heck there was a big scandal in my tiny little town in Maine, about a Chinese restaurant that used illegal forced labor from "home" to fill its wait staff and kitchens. The business only survived because the owner successfully pled ignorance (which I mean, the owner didn't know where his payroll was going, right, come the F on, but still). If that can happen in a Chinese restaurant in a small village in Maine, it can happen anywhere for any reason -- prostitution is simply the tip of the human trafficking iceberg -- the one piece of the puzzle that draws enough outrage for something to occcasionally be done about it.

No. He is issuing denials for public relations reasons. Ultimately he will likely plead to a lesser charge and say he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and gave in for the good of everyone. He has practice at acting like he is agrieved and mortified publicly while privately bending over.

Started out as a somewhat reasonable public service announcement that there’s nothing wrong with Kraft for having urges at his age and that biologically there is nothing weird about it. Then took a really strange turn at the end by saying that throughout human history, the price of women is at its highest at they approach puberty and the price decreases the further they get from that. Not sure if it’s true or not but was disturbing and didn’t belong in this context. Also the poster seemed to be a little too personally invested in it..it was just weird.

One was charged on the East coast of FL by Vero Beach police, Kraft did his thing on the West coast in Jupiter , I think the ex-CEO of Citicorp was caught in Jupiter FL too but I might be wrong on that.

Jupiter is on the east Coast about 20 minutes south of Vero.

What Kraft knew has to be proved by the prosecution. They need to tie the sexual act to the business transaction. So he's been there twice? He can argue that in both cases the sexual activity was a spontaneous voluntary act by all parties if the prosecution can't establish a link between it and his payment for a legal service.

The old "hey I was paying her for her companionship, the sex part was free" is not really a plausible defense to solicitation. Your above suggestion that he was paying for the massage and they sex part was free is the same vein.
