Glad we stuck with Brady.

When you watch a QB like Goff being unable to solve a zone defense, you realize that the NFL is quick to figure out QBs. One good season of a guy like Brady back there is worth 4 good seasons by a MVP candidate like Goff.

Brady should be treated like gold.

This SB makes keeping Brady the correct call. They don't win this with JG even if he is healthy IMO. Put the super bowls in the bank now while you can and worry about rebuilding later. They are simply too precious and hard to get.

Well we couldn’t run the offense with jimmy g like we could with Brady. Tom is like another offensive coordinator on the field. That’s something that jimmy g would take years to figure out.

Do you think Jimmy G would have gotten us this far? I don’t think so. He was an unproven commodity. We made the right choice to stick with Brady and getting rid of jimmy.
No

Jimmy is a high potential prospect. Nothing more.

Brady, post JAG:

  • 2 years
  • 2 Super Bowls
  • 1 Lombardi
  • 1 500 yard passing game in defeat
  • likely multiple years still remaining as the team's starting QB
Even someone as clueless about football as, say, Tony Mazz pretty much has to acknowledge that keeping Brady over JAG was the right move, unless they're just trolling for listeners.

Especially when you consider how Jimmy G spent the season.

It was a tough decision but they obviously made the right call - when you have the GOAT you ride him out, you don't force him out.

The Patriots have won 3 Lombardi’s since the geniuses in this forum wanted him traded after the KC game in 2014. Despite that many of the same geniuses were calling him done again this year. And one of those geniuses said that they shouldn’t bring Brady back next year, and that was only a month ago.

Screw the 2nd rounder, we should’ve asked for and received kittle.

If Garapallo had been traded for a rookie TE with 250ish yards and one touchdown this board would have melted into the Earth in rage.

You just keep, you know, make the numbers work. Won't map out a plan how to actually do it, but you just do

Forget Jimmy G or Jared Goff. When you see HOFers like Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers or Big Ben in the playoffs, they either have it or they don’t. They can’t grind out a tight win when they’re having a bad day like Brady does.

Jimmy G could end up as the second best QB in history and would still have been right to keep Brady because he’s the GOAT. Jimmy will be fortunate to win a title on his own, he won’t win 3 in 5 (or 4 in 6?) like Brady has because Brady is on a different level than everyone else.
