Vrabel is probably the favorite if all stands, but Macdonald, Coen and Johnson are in the mix

Tanked yesterday, just like Mayes possible MVP. Bears won again and are getting better weekly. Denver is 12-2. Barring a collapse by either of those teams, Vrabel is third. COY don't have a team that blows a 24-7 halftime lead and gives up 5 straight TDs. A defensive coach. Nobody quite yet realizes how much damage yesterdays loss actually did on many level.

These post season awards and nice and all, but over all I don't really care. I felt it was Johnson all along, he's a rookie HC having great success. Maye's MVP probably is gone too, but again, meh. So what. There's one thing I care about...

I think Vrabel is still in it. If we right the ship and win the division, he's probably still in the driver's seat. Right now, both teams are #2 in their conference but we have a better W-L record.

Yeah that ain't happening either.

Last year also counts some; the Patriots are 7 wins over last year's total, the Bears 5.

Yeah that is probably gone. Ben johnson can win it if he get past the next 3 games. GB, @SF and DET.

Those are good teams.

Win those 3 teams and he probably deserves it.

and if he doesnt, they dont make the playoffs. Which is unreal scenario.

There's a lot of worthy COTY candidates this season. It'd be great for Vrabel, but it's more important for the Pats to quickly rebound and beat the Ravens. And it seems like the Fins are going to be pretty tough for that last game too. We better see strengthening qualities in these last few games. If they go limping into the playoffs like '21, this will be bad.

I feel like Maye's MVP candidacy detracts from Vrabel in the COY discussions. And it's not really so much about it being a knock on Vrabel as it is just there being multiple good candidates for the award and you have to split hairs.
