Glad we stuck with Brady.

Totally w/o any info : my gut tells me BB wanted to rebuild w JG simply because he had no idea Brady was going to continue this crazy run for so long... I have to believe that no one knew TB was going to be such an ironman - because no one had/has ever been...

Very lucky fanbase.

Does jimmy g have raw talent? Maybe probably but he’s prone to injury. He got injured in that Miami game in 2016. Injured in 2017 and tore his acl in 2018 but Brady has done a good job of staying mostly injury free.

JE was injury prone. Gronk too. Flowers...

I think BB makes it work with JG. But Brady level success...

Do you think Jimmy G would have gotten us this far? I don’t think so. He was an unproven commodity. We made the right choice to stick with Brady and getting rid of jimmy.

Hard to do that if he can’t stay on the field.

Garoppolo's job was to be QB2. He did that well enough that for 2+ seasons he was the only other QB on the payroll.

The job that Garoppolo did that he wasn't asked to do was to be TFB's personal Fountain of Youth. Once that happened, there was no path for Garoppolo to be the QBOTF.

This was a no brainer for me. Brady simply takes care of his body better than any player in the history of NFL and probably all sports. His strong points are his cluctchness, how he prepares, leadership and reading ability. None of this is going away with age that fast. The one thing I am worried about with age with him is his reaction speed...I.e. how fast can he react to the information his brain is processing?

On top of that, he has done it with not a lot help from the WRs outside Edelman.

I still think he has 2-3 years in him and one more SB. There is zero guarantee Garrapolo will even win one.

That was my stance last year and the year before.

There was never really any choice.
I said at the time Brady will go to and win more SBs after the trade than jimmy g.

Somehow idiots will still be convinced Jimmy would have been fine being a backup.

Watching Brady win his 6th with the Patriots beats any success we might have gotten with Jimmy G. Last night was a demonstration of BB and the coaching staff, while the AFCCG showed what the GOAT is all about.

Those 2 together are the reason why teams with less talent are consistently better teams.

I wish Jimmy G the best but if the reports from one year ago are true, Krafts decision was definietly vindicated last night.

#10 is a bag of bones!
Brady is the GOAT. End of Story!

The situation with keeping jimmy and TB on the roster just wasn’t going to work any longer. One of them had to go. You had brady who’s stayed in shape and taken good care of his body and you had jimmy g who is a talented player who is injury prone and unproven besides 2 games when Brady was out. I think the decision was obviously a no brainer. I wish we could have gotten more than just a second rounder for him though

I never believed Brady was going to be traded. I always thought BB just didnt want to get rid of Jimmy and was hoping he would stick around long enough to take the torch from Tom when he was ready to leave.

Is jimmy the more mobile qb? Yup.

But it was that mobility that got him in trouble. It sucks but he paid the price using that mobility instead of protecting himself and living to see another down.

That ball needed to get out quick on so many plays. Don’t think there was another QB that coukd of done it like Brady did.

Screw the 2nd rounder, we should’ve asked for and received kittle.

I think he wanted to be a starter after being a backup for 4 years but Brady still wanted to keep going and got the endorsement from RK hence the trade. He got his wish
