A place to collect at one place film analysis on Pats and Chiefs + tape oriented podcasts.
For some further - tape based - specific discussions . and for those who can't/don't search around during the week. Please add interesting things of the sort you find around or produce yourselves...

Lets start w a nice analysis of week 6 - KC O & Pats D perspective - w afccg implications:

@ keeping PM in the pocket - im glad John Simon will be available this time.

btw - Plenty of talk KC has Houston back
little talk that Pats have Malcom Brown, Simon, Burkhead & JC Jackson! comp. to w6.
(not to mention ST monsters McClellan and Humber). Plus J-Mac, A.Butler, Edelman significantly improved, OL morphed into top unit etc.. Sure KC improved as well but this is plenty of significant playmakers adding to NE table . and significantly different D that KC will face this time (btw Shelton played over 60% which was significant disadvantage in itself compared to last or next Sunday)

+ missing Hunt could be big in KC passing game (11:15: @ Hunt long TD rec. out of the backfield)

(btw 2- didn't notice before that harmon had some ref responsibility on that long Hill TD..;))

That is the one I always come back to if someone wants to tell me that exchanging Hunt for Williams is no big deal. No ****ing way Williams can finish this play like that.

I hope we hit Kelce at the line a lot. Hightower did a good job delaying Kelce's route and then finding work. Nice concentration on the INT, too.

The Patriots are dedicated to their run game:

Here Chatham's pod (a bit of rambling at the start but some nice sense later):
- “Steelers game with mobile QB“
- D living in the sub (KC mostly in 11 formation) - spread D - thoughts on putting longer guys on spread edges (Wise, possibly Kamalu)
- about small things that should matter most

How to block two players at two different places at the same time by one blocker?
Dante & McD challenging the laws of physics here. Another example of efficient fake blocking. Of course you have to be considered elite blocker to sell it so efficiently first..

Similar to how the Saints coaching staff saw Fletcher Cox phoning it in on stay calls during 4th downs I am sure Scar/McDaniels/whoever is responsible for this aspect saw this tendency of James and they built a call out of it. Pretty cool.

We are also very healthy.. the last two time we were this far into the playoffs and 100% healthy, we ended up in the superbowl.

BB joins the party (just for few brief moments though)

So glad he fixed ST on time

The Patriots are dedicated to their run game:

How much of this is a function of being in the lead or winning a lot? Even consider that 2-3 kneeldowns at the end of games add up, let alone running out the clock.

You can look at splits for quarter and half (to avoid blowouts, killing clock, kneeldowns, etc), and the Patriots are still in the top 8 if I recall. While there's some merit to your thought -- and I do think winning teams tend to run more as a function of time management, not that running teams win more by mystique or makeup -- as far as I can tell in this situation, the Patriots are legitimately a run-oriented team compared to the majority of the league. We think of McDaniel spreading teams out and slinging the ball, but I don't know that's accurate.

Anyway, interesting discussion, but maybe best continued in a different thread?

a play that might come in handy this time with fully healthy backfield:
