Would you give up a 2nd for Leonard Williams?

This is a strong claim. Not saying it’s wrong but what do you have to back that up. I’ve personally never heard anything
Italked what I’ve heard/read over the years. Clearly his play backs it up.

Who gives a crap if hes young and not in his prime?

All due respect I don't think you know what the market is for NFL linemen is respective to production, compensation and market rate.

Trey Flowers is a better player than Leonard Williams and has produced at a higher level than him. That is why he will be worth ~$14m AAV on the open market.

In terms of production and impact, Williams has not meet expectations and at $14m is overpaid.

If I have $14m kicking around Flowers gets it over Williams and it's not even a discussion
Williams and flowers are different players. Flowers is an edge player who holds up very well in the run game.
Williams isn’t stout enough to be a stud player inside and mobile/agile enough to be effective outside.
He’s a 34 DE in a league where 34 DEs are misfits.

Yeah but that would actually work wouldn’t it? These experiments with Richardson and Williams were often failures and that they kept reattempting if memory serves me correctly
The Pats using Arrington at DE was laughable but quite irritating.

Yes. Flowers is a better player

If he was on the FOURTH year, which a much lighter cap hit, I'd shake the branches, but no, at that price tag and with no long term deal, a team would be insane to do that - even a team with tons of cap space.

I like the Cooks trade(s) because of $ value.

As others have said, pay Flowers and go from there on the DL.

No way.....we let Hicks walk over nothing....Williams ain’t no Hicks

Leonard 2nd round? The real question is would you have drafted Darius Leonard instead of Sony

Stink and suckage become ingrained in Jet players after a couple of seasons.

The idea of giving up a second rounder AND paying him top dollar seems extremely far fetched to me.

If the Patriots Economic System would expend this kind of cash would prefer Trey Flowers be paid and stay here...

Scheme I’d like to personally say, his 2016 season he was destructive as anything. He would be a great fit to pair up with Trey Flowers if we keep him.

Given the Pats current cap/roster situation, it would be either keep Flowers OR acquire Williams.
